Nathalia Nascimento was the leading scorer with 7 points. She was fast and unstoppable with the ball when on a fast break. She showed off her great shot and even had some blocked shots that she caused when on defense.
Ingrid Moraes added 6 points for the Waves. She was a strong player crashing the boards going after rebounds and creating steals on defense. She showed that she can play all over the court and was moving enough to constantly contribute to the play her team was trying to run.
Kaitlyn Adams and Skylar Quillet both added 5 points for the Carolina Waves. Adams was very quick and aggressive with the ball. She didn’t shy away from contact making a three point play the old fashioned way. Her speed allows her to rack up fast break points, too, and she will create second chances with the way she follows each shot. Quillet was fun to watch with how hard she works inside creating space for herself going up for the rebound or creating a shot for herself. She also had some nice midrange jump shots. She also made her own three point play.
Diamond Thomas Diamond Thomas 5'4" | PG Knightdale | 2021 NC is a sneaky guard who makes steals before opponents know she was even around them. She shows no fear going inside to grab rebounds for her team. Lindsey Carter was a beast in the post moving around with ease, grabbing rebounds using her strength to box out opponents, and even had a few blocks ending the possession of her opponent. Madison Nereu showed the definition of hustle going after loose balls, staying aggressive on defense, and even drawing a charge in transition. Each of these three girls had 2 points.
