Imelda McMenamin was the leading scorer for both teams with a total of 14 points. Her shooting was on full display hitting 3 jumpers behind the arc. She did a great job of moving the ball well getting her teammates involved, and she took her shot at the best times creating space for her to be successful.
Charlotte Dream Elite’s second leading scorer was Emerie Tillman will 12 points. Many of her points were from fast breaks that she created off of her own steals. She has a way of creating space between her and a defender in a split second making the transition points look easy. She also has a good vision of the court knowing where to pass the ball to create plays for her teammates.
Ashley Farmer was certainly a floor general during this game. She has a great vision of the court moving herself to be able to make the best passes into her teammates. She is super quick which helps her push the ball up the court knowing where her teammates will be or make her own moves to score the transition points. She is a tenacious defender, too, creating problems for her opponents to get the ball past her. She finished with 5 points and even more assists.
Moving to the post position, Zion Duncan seemed to have her way most of the game. She has great height to her that she uses to create space, position herself perfectly, and move to make a basket. She is aggressive when it comes to going after rebounds making it nearly impossible for opponents to grab one around her. She is a great asset to have near the basket when another shot goes up because it is almost guaranteed she can grab the rebound to put it right back up for a couple more points. She finished with 8 points.
Jacquelyn DeJesse Jacquelyn DeJesse 5'5" | PG Chestnut Park | 2022 NC finished with 6 points but was a leader on the court in many other areas. She is a quick guard who pushed the ball up the floor. She was also consistently the first one back on defense if the other team was trying to make a run for some fast break points. On offense, she has a nice shot and knows when is the best time for her to show that off.
For the Bruins Elite, Madelyn Throbe and Maura Kindel were the leading scorers, each with 5 points. Kindel showed some great moves on offense blowing by defenders and also using post moves to create points for her team. Throbe was aggressive with the ball and moved quickly with it making it difficult to slow her down.
