Tatum Bowen and Abriel Thrash both tied as the leading scorers of the game with 11 points each.
Bowen is a true athlete who hustles after every ball. She is quick grabbing steals and pushing the ball up the court. When her teammates bring the ball up, she finds her way to an open area to make a shot or make the pass into another teammate. She has an excellent shot hitting three 3-pointers in the game. She isn’t afraid to get inside to rebound or block shots from post players.
Thrash is another true athlete who contributed in all areas of the game. Starting as the jumper for the jump ball in the beginning of the game, she proceeded to show off her post moves inside. When she found herself outside the paint, she did not hesitate to show off her jump shot. She has a great midrange jumper and even contributed to the three point shooting for Lady Attack Elite. She knew how to position herself on defense making it difficult for anyone she was guarding to score.
Monique Cepeda added another 6 points. She was a great transition player running the floor well being open for the fast break points. On the defensive side of the ball, she was a tenacious defender creating blocks for her team making it nearly impossible to score around her.
Lastly, Jade Washington added 5 points making contributions all over the court. She made a nice three point basket but also made sure to show off her post moves inside. She added several steals to her stats sheet and made sure they converted to fast break points whether it was herself scoring or she was passing the ball to her teammate.
For Team Hickory, Faith Isenhour had an impressive game with 6 points. She was aggressive inside showing that she is a strong post player. She had several nice put backs for her team off of the offensive glass, and she scored points by driving hard to the basket. She did not shy away from contact near the hoop finding herself on the free throw line multiple times in the game.
Joselin Turner was the point guard for Team Hickory who seemed to take over for her team in the second half. She made plays by driving and dishing the ball to her teammates or finishing the basket herself. She was aggressive inside knowing where to move her body to make the best play for her team. She showed off a nice three point shot as well.
