Continue ReadingThe NW Stars had another series of scrimmages, this time between their Navy and White squads – the two top teams in their programs. These scrimmages were played in two fifteen minute sessions in which all the players from both teams were able to hit the floor and showcase their talents. Audrey Kehoe was a breakout performer for the White team as she continued to develop her post skills and had some brilliant scoring moments. For Navy, it was the combination of Rhyan, Kennedie, and Mia that showed off their witty offensive skills each in different ways. The scrimmage was an excellent display of talent across the board and there were many standout performances from the contest.
Audrey Kehoe 2022 5’11″ PF NW Stars White/West Linn HS – Audrey’s confidence and game has blossomed this summer, into a rebounding machine who also has a knack for scoring inside the paint. She contributed 6 points, 6 rebounds, 1 steal, and 1 block, scoring off a nice hook shot as well as a back down move that resulted in a reverse lay-up. Kehoe has the size, but also the finesse to be a difference maker down low.
Rhyan Mogel Rhyan Mogel 5'10" | SF Clackamas | 2023 State OR 2023 5’10″ SF NW Stars Navy/Clackamas HS – Rhyan had another superb game under her belt, with a 10 point, 4 rebound, 3 assist, 2 steal, 1 block effort. She has shown the ability to score in a myriad of ways, but her favorite is her strong take to the basket – she also is quick enough to split through defenders. Mogel is especially dangerous when her shot is sinking, as she hit an 18 footer as well.
Allie Mead Allie Mead SG Canby | 2023 State OR 2023 5’5″ PG NW Stars Navy/Canby HS – Allie had a spectacular game, as she racked up 4 points, 3 rebounds, 3 assists, and 2 steals. As always, she seemingly was at the right spot at the right time, which enabled her to grab rebounds and initiate the offense from there. She has a talent for being able to slow the game down from her riveting pace for one moment and finding others in scoring positions.
Jazzy Davidson 2025 6’1″ PF NW Stars – Jazzy had 8 points, 2 rebounds, 1 assist, 1 block, and 1 steal in a solid offensive performance. She scored off lay-ups, finishing strong at the rim and also had an amazing floater in which she raised up over her defender and used her length to finish. Jazzy has a high aptitude for making plays all over the floor with her presence and high activity.
Olivia Poulvaati 2023 5’11″ PF NW Stars White/Tualatin HS – Olivia has a solid frame, but is agile enough to score and make plays all over the floor. The forward contributed 6 points, 2 rebounds, and 1 block with some impressive scores. She had a nice floater in the lane as well as a take from half court to the rim. Her size is the most immediate take about her game, as it allows her to have a presence in the paint.
Mia Skoro 2022 5’8″ SG NW Stars Navy/La Salle HS – Mia enjoyed a great performance, as she had 10 points showing off her offensive variability. She knocked down two three points as well as had two nice lay-ups, one in which she got in the post and showed good body control in traffic and was able to finish. Mia is a complete player who knows how to play a complete game but also has a complete scoring package.
Sage Kramer Sage Kramer 6'1" | PG Philomath | 2022 State OR 2021 6’1″ PF NW Stars Navy/Philomath HS – Sage served her usual duties, that is – a scorer who is a physical rebounder and adapts to her surroundings. She had 5 points, 5 rebounds, and 1 assist in a nice all out display. Kramer hit a three-pointer from deep and had an acrobatic reverse lay-up. Kramer plays so steady every play and always comes ready on every possession down the court.
Kennedie Shuler Kennedie Shuler 5'10" | PG Sam Barlow | 2023 State OR 2023 5’9″ PG NW Stars Navy/Barlow HS – Kennedie was the leading scorer of this scrimmage, as she had 10 points to go with 2 rebounds and 1 assist – she dazzled with her off the dribble moves as she only needed a small gap in order to initiate her moves. She has a lot of wiggle going to the rim, has excellent body control, and plays with a lot of exuberance and energy.
Lindsay Barden 2022 5’5″ PG NW Stars White/Barlow HS – Lindsay showed a lot of resilience, running against a tough Navy squad – she had 4 points, 2 rebounds, and 2 assists – scoring off a nice drive into the paint that resulted in a reverse lay-up. She knows how to find others in excellent positions and rebounds well for her size. Barden plays at a nice commanding pace and knows how to lead a team.
Annie Koenig Annie Koenig 5'11" | SG Barlow | 2023 State OR 2023 5’11″ SG NW Stars/Barlow HS – Annie contributed 2 points, 2 rebounds, and 2 assists as she has shown steady improvement in all faucets of her game. She scored the first two points of the game in a nice mid-range jumper, a recent growth spurt has given her even more accuracy to her jumpshot as it allows for more spacing between her and her defender. Koenig also plays fierce on the defensive end.
