Mary Spry: The 6’0 power forward from East Rowan high school is a force to be reckoned with. Nearly averaging a double-double as a sophomore with 12 points and 9 rebounds, she is tough and plays hard. She recorded 9 double-doubles on the season, including 3 other games with double-digit rebounding. She gets great position on the inside and is crafty around the rim, finishing over 50% of her attempts. She also runs the floor well for her size. She will be a great pickup for someone in the next 2 years. She plays AAU for the Carolina Express organization.
Ayana Summers: The 5’8 guard from Statesville high school is a long, lanky athlete. She averaged right around 10 points per game, and 4 rebounds. She anticipates on the defensive end, shooting the gaps, not afraid to dive on the ground for loose balls. She can shoot the 3 ball, but is better driving and getting into the paint. She is great at getting to the free-throw line attempting over 140 on the season, and converting over 55% of them. She is going to keep getting better, and have a good shot playing for someone after 2 seasons.
Hannah Isley: The 5’7 guard from Jesse Carson high school is a solid player. Averaging almost 9 points and 4 rebounds per game. She is pretty consistent from 3 point range shooting over 30% a game as a sophomore. Her season high was 4 for 5, finishing with 21 points and a win. She is feisty on defense, with nearly 2 steals per game. She had 9 different games where she had 3+ steals. Another player to keep an eye on for the next 2 seasons.
