Lariyah Clark put on a show in one of the last games of the tournament for Carolina Lady Rising Stars. She was driving through contact and moving with such speed from one end of the court to the other. The opponent could not stop her with a press at all. She fought through contact for her points and was sent to the free throw line on multiple occasions. She was consistently one of the first up and down the court each change of possession. She had a nice jump in front of a pass that turned into two for her during a crucial time for her team. Her free throw shooting and constant fight kept her team in the game down the stretch.
Nakyla Heaggans is a force inside. She positioned herself well to make sure she could make a play, and she was aggressive when going after rebounds. She had some nice drives inside and even finished with a couple floaters that were impossible to defend. She had a nice shot from behind the arc as well. It was exciting to see her make cuts into the lane and know exactly where she was on the court to make the best shot.
Natolia Keaton was a player who could not be rattled. Her ball handling and ability to make some tight passes were on full display. She was all over the court fighting for the ball, making her way around screens, and preventing her opponent from getting by her. She even grabbed rebounds for her team and pushed the ball up the court.
Shania Bailey-Scott and Delesha Linebarger were aggressive with the ball and handled it well under pressure. Their steals turned into fast breaks as they were able to push the ball up the court with ease.
T.J. Eichelberger for the Flames was on fire shooting behind the arc. She was always ready to shoot and knew exactly how to relocate in order to make a contribution for her team. She was aggressive when fighting for rebounds and not scared to post up inside to make some points. She fought through contact from the block working her way to the free throw line multiple times.
Ashara Hayes was aggressive when driving the ball making several trips to the free throw line. She has some great moves that create separation from her opponent in order to show off her jump shot. Seeing contact coming her way did not phase her at all. She would grab offensive rebounds and immediately put it back up or find her open teammate. On defense, she had multiple steals that quickly turned into fast break opportunities.
Morgan Graham showed off her athletic side constantly moving all over the court on offense and relocating to the best spot. She made some nice cuts in the game getting lost by her defender. She used her length on defense to deflect passes and grab steals. She even had some good blocks in the game and was aggressive when working against her opponent on defense. She was excellent at boxing out and grabbing rebounds.
Trinity Smith was athletic making cuts down the lane. She was patient with her moves knowing how to time the play well. She handled the ball effectively and made some nice passes into her teammates that seemed to thread the needle even while moving quickly on a fast break. She remained calm no matter what kind of pressure was put on her when handling the ball. On defense, she made some nice steals and rebounds that were quickly pushed up the court.
