2020-21 Previews: Essex, Estherville-LC, Exira-EHK

<p style="text-align: center;"><strong>Essex Trojans</strong> 2-15 last year 30.9 points scored, 61.4 points against 8 returning players</p> It was a very short bench for the Trojans last winter, but they return all eight players who saw the varsity floor. That includes regular starters Brianne Johnson, Desi Glasgo, Riley Jensen, [player_tooltip player_id="131229" first="Elise" last="Dailey"] and Sami York. Dailey, a senior, led the team in scoring at just over nine per game. She was also the top rebounder with almost seven a night. Glasgo posted a team-high 16 assists. <p style="text-align: left;">Notable returners:</p> <p style="text-align: left;">Desi Glasgo - 6.9 PPG, 1.9 RPG, 1.0 SPG [player_tooltip player_id="131229" first="Elise" last="Dailey"] - 9.2 PPG, 6.9 RPG Riley Jensen - 4.3 PPG, 3.5 RPG</p> &nbsp; <p style="text-align: center;"><strong>Esthervile-Lincoln Central Midgets</strong> 15-7 last year 55.0 points scored, 45.7 points against 9 returning players</p> Over the past two seasons, the Midgets have won 29 games, including 15 a year ago. They will look to build on that with the return of top scorer and rebounder [player_tooltip player_id="63641" first="Jaydan" last="Nitchals"]. The junior scored 15.6 points and grabbed seven rebounds per game last year. Senior Amara Heinrichs is also back after recording 49 assists for Estherville-LC. The season, though, came to an end just short of a spot in the Class 1A state tournament, as the Spartans fell to Councill Bluffs St. Albert. Six players return from that team including leading scorer and rebounder [player_tooltip player_id="129023" first="Macy" last="Emgarten"].
