Here are a handful of players that stood on business this AAU season on the road from the Forward or Center positions and they are looking to add onto that moving into their high school season this Winter. Wherever they may be at across the state.

Thanks for tuning in and enjoy!

English has always impressed as that CG/SF that her team needs in a big moment. During the Winter season, English competes like she is a wrecking ball from hell, going right down the throat of the competition. She is a high end producer on both offense and defense during those times, while being looks at to produce on almost every other possession. With most of her matchups, she is a mismatch with her height and how well she can move down the floor. During AAU she gets to play more of that Forward spot but she can also step out to spread the defense thin if she has someone bigger than her in the way. English has been a notable Post prospect this Spring/Summer. She is on a roster with some talented others but she still stood out as one of the best the last few months on the road.

Another individual that is coming off of a successful AAU campaign is [player_tooltip player_id='766304' first='Paige' last='Andernacht'] of Johnston High School. Andernacht is another that is in a mismatch situation a majority of the time. She is a true Forward at 5'10 and she has muscle mass to pair with that, usually leaving smaller and weaker opponents in the dust when she is working near the hoop. It's no surprise that this is someone who put together a season to remember on the road. She plays a fundamental game and she is efficient, that's really all you need. It also helps that she has some size and strength to pair with but that's not the point. If you are a college coach who needs a Forward around 5'10/5'11, who is going to listen to every word you say and give it her all, Paige could be your girl. She has showed up when asked to the last few seasons and I think we will see even more of that over her next two year's at Johnston but we will see.

It was a big blocking Summer for [player_tooltip player_id='1226071' first='Eden' last='Horn'] once again. At this point, I don't think anyone should be too surprised. Horn stands at 6'3, she is disciplined near the hoop, she has sneaky athleticism to pair with that height, and when she is playing with confidence - there are not many who can step in her way to shut her down in between the blocks. Horn showed up on the Iowa scene last Winter and she has stood out ever since. Both literally and metaphorically. When you walk by her court, you stop for a moment to see what she can do with her height and that's one of the reasons why she is going to end up as a college hooper one day. That will attract some people to sit down and from there, her game will do the rest of the talking.

As of right now and what is public information, I think that Danburg is going to end up at the high D2 level for her college career to start off. Danburg comes in at 6'2, she is skilled as a CG would be, and she can move to play several positions around the court for her squad because of it. I had my questions moving into her Junior year if she was just going to be a big body or a real player and she has proven that she can really excel in this game. When she is pressured on the outside she can put it on the floor to get to better spots without turning it over and she also understands when not to force anything unnecessary. This was another Spring/Summer that Danburg should be proud of. She left it all out there and that's something you have to respect.

[player_tooltip player_id='1256608' first='Eden' last='Whitson'] of Indianola High School and [program_tooltip program_id='1877436' first='Iowa' last='Suns'] AAU was her team's leader last Winter during Varsity play as she grabbed just under 7 RPG in her efforts. This number is an important one for any Center/Forward. If you are playing this spot, you have to be able to rebound on both offense or defense. If not, your career is going to be short lived. Whitson does a good job of controlling the traffic that moves near the lane when she is in the middle. She is someone that everyone knows about when they are playing and I think that's important. If you are standing around 6'0 and somewhat athletic, people should know about your presence on the floor at all times and they do with Whitson. This AAU season just wrapped up but it was a foundation-building type of year for the [program_tooltip program_id='1877436' first='Iowa' last='Suns']. They played some top notch competition, they helped a bunch of prospects get seen, and they are in place to keep that train rolling into the next season as well. Something you love to see for the game itself as a whole!

Here are a handful of players that stood on business this AAU season on the road from the Forward or Center positions and they are looking to add onto that moving into their high school season this Winter. Wherever they may be at across the state.
