The players listed below should have the next level of college ball in their mind as they move into their Fall season's coming up. Some of these players graduate in twelve months, some in three years - either way, it's never too early to start thinking about your future when you are talented enough to compete at another level past high school and that's what we have hear with these athletes.

Thanks for tuning in and enjoy!

Cook has been on our radar for a few years now and she has interest from a few college programs across the Midwest at this point moving into the Fall of her Senior season. For any coach that is looking for a solid Guard - who is good in pick and roll situations, who can shoot off the catch or dribble, who is also a sound defender, then this could be your girl. She has a really nice shot from distance and she isn't afraid to let it fly at any point over the half court line. Defensively, she is at her best within man-2-man defense but she is versatile enough that she can thrive playing at a spot in a zone as well if asked. I'm sure this Winter we will hear more about this one prior to her graduation with her play on the hardwood. She has always been a standout for her high school group and I expect that to be the same result this Winter for her last go-around.

A name that we haven't covered before, but who has some solid offers from around Iowa is Lexi McGowan of North Fayette Valley High School. McGowan is in the classic situation that she is the starting SG whenever she take the court but she can also move over to the PG spot and produce with her ability to run her team's offense and defense. She only comes in standing around 5'4 so I would be more likely that McGowan would move to the 1 spot, full time at the next level but it all depends on the program, coaching, and roster at hand in that given year. I'm not sure that we will get an answer out of McGowan as to where she will play following her Senior year prior to the season but just know that she has some options.

The recent success that Winterset High School has had over the last couple of years is mainly attributed to the production of Natalie Smith at the CG position. Last season as a Junior Smith averaged 14 PPG, 7 RPG, and 2 APG. These are some solid numbers to achieve when you are leaving it out on the court every single time you play. That's what we have here, she is doing all that she can whenever she is hooping. She shoots a good percentage offensively at over 52%, so you can't fault her offensive output while leading the team. Defensively, she makes smart plays and isn't afraid of any challenge set in her ways. All in all, Smith has had a memorable career leading the Winterset pack and she is looking to make her mark one last time this Winter before hopefully taking her talents to the collegiate level.

When Indianola High School tipped off their season last Winter I don't think any of them realized how big of piece Julia McGraw was going to be for them over the next four years at the PG position. McGraw would be categorized as a natural. Someone that knows how to make the ball go into the bucket each time coming down the floor with lightning fast reaction times and natural instincts to boost about. McGraw wasn't their leader in PPG but she was second with 10 while also dishing out 2 APG and by causing chaos on defense with her ability to steal the rock multiple times a contest. We still have a few years away before McGraw is going to be talking about college ball but I would be shocked if she didn't have some eyes on her moving into this Winter as a Sophomore with the Indians.

Savanna Wright will be competing at the college level when she gets to that point in a few years. Over the last two seasons she has solidified herself as one of the top PG's in the 2028 Class and really throughout the state of Iowa as a whole. This is your PG #1. Someone that you can give the ball to and trust that they are going to make the correct choices coming down the court. She is also talented enough on offense to be her team's consistent scoring threat. This is something she hasn't had to do in high school up until now so it'll be fun to watch the numbers she puts up this Winter and how many more college programs reach out once they truly understand what they are getting with Wright as a recruit.

The players listed below should have the next level of college ball in their mind as they move into their Fall season's coming up. Some of these players graduate in twelve months, some in three years - either way, it's never too early to start thinking about your future when you are talented enough to compete at another level past high school and that's what we have hear with these athletes.
