Joyce Edwards Joyce Edwards 6'3" | PF Camden | 2024 State SC (2024 forward, Camden (SC))
Edwards proved why she has several high major division one offers despite not having played a high school game yet. She was named MVP of the event after a spectacular performance on both ends of the floor. Defensively, she took the challenge of guarding the best players on the opposing team, blocked shots and rebounded well. Edwards holds offers from North Carolina, Louisville, and Florida State among other programs and her list will only continue to grow.
Trinity Vance Trinity Vance 5'10" | SG Legacy Early College | 2024 State SC (2024 guard, Legacy Early College (SC))
Another of the many South Carolina standout freshman prospects at this event was Legacy Early College guard Trinity Vance Trinity Vance 5'10" | SG Legacy Early College | 2024 State SC . She’s an excellent shot creator and ball handler that can effortlessly score at all three levels. Once she gets on a hot streak from the outside, it’s tough to stop her because she can score in bunches. Vance will be on one of the top programs in the southeast at LEC and will have a long list offers soon if she doesn’t have it already.
Ella Hobbs (2024 forward, Jay M. Robinson (NC))
A name you’ll be hearing about a lot over the course of this upcoming season is Jay M. Robinson forward Ella Hobbs. She’s got all the tools to be an excellent post player at the next level from her activity on the glass to protecting the rim and finishing around the basket. Hobbs has offers from Ole Miss, Vanderbilt and Georgia Tech among others and rightfully so. She took advantage of mismatches whether she looked to score or make a play for a teammate. Expect her to have an excellent freshman season in Concord.
Zamareya Jones (2024 guard, North Pitt (NC))
As usual, North Pitt guard Zamareya Jones rose to the occasion against great competition. Jones, who was most recently offered by Ole Miss, is an uber competitor with a great skill set. She passes well out of the pick-and-roll while being great at creating shots for her teammates and herself. The biggest things that stood out at this event were her leadership skills and basketball IQ. Jones recognized when her teammates had a mismatch they could take advantage of and organized her team defensively. She’s one of several 2024 prospects in the 252 college coaches should have their eye on.
