Faith Carson Faith Carson 6'4" | C Buchanan | 2023 State MI (C, Buchanan)
Prep Girls Hoops Michigan Ranking: #1
Faith Carson Faith Carson 6'4" | C Buchanan | 2023 State MI should be considered one of the top pure center prospects in the country. She’s tall, strong, and physical, but her game is so much more than those intangibles. You can tell that she’s been well schooled on the game of basketball. Carson is a terrific post entry passer on the perimeter. She looks over top of her defender and can hit cutters and post players in the lane. Carson soft feet that don’t stay glued to the floor at all.
Janae Tyler Janae Tyler 5'11" | C Holt | 2023 State MI (C, Holt)
Prep Girls Hoops Michigan Ranking: #10
Tyler is as veteran of a player as a sophomore can be. I’m a firm believer that she has a very nice upside as a prospect and player. Tyler is vertical and bouncy under the rim and will work for every rebound. This allows her to have a lot of chances at quick and easy put back buckets. Tyler is a long and athletic defender that will have advantages over pretty much every opponent. She will in all likelihood, average a double-double in points and rebounds this season.
Makenna Clement Makenna Clement 6'1" | PF Lake Fenton | 2023 State MI (C, Byron)
Prep Girls Hoops Michigan Ranking: #20
We all kind of new that we had a star in the making when Clement entered high school a couple years ago. She has done nothing but confirm everyone’s beliefs. Clement is a really solid all around athlete, and when watching her play, it’s pretty obvious that she plays other sports at a high level as well. She’s a really good all around post player that is a difference maker on both ends of the floor. Clement had a really strong summer and fall grassroots season and we look for that to continue.
Nyemah Hodo Nyemah Hodo 5'11" | C Ecorse | 2023 State MI (C, Ecorse)
Prep Girls Hoops Michigan Ranking: #43
Hodo has created a niche at the center position and she’s become one of the best in the state at her specialty. That specialty is a rim protecting shot blocker. She has great length underneath, but she’s also worked to perfect the art. She walls up and times when she goes up in the air order to give her the best chance at sending a shot back. Hodo is one of the best defenders, at any position, in the state of Michigan.
Mia Zorski Mia Zorski 6'0" | C Clarkston | 2023 State MI (C, Clarkston)
Prep Girls Hoops Michigan Ranking: #47
College coaches really need to make sure that Zorskiis on their radar. She’s a prospect on the rise that seems ready for a true breakout season. She’s a versatile post player that can pull the D away from the rim when needed. Zorski is underrated as an overall athlete as well.
