Maya McCorkle: The 5’9 small forward from Cannon high school has made an immediate impact for the cougars. Out of their 8 played games she has scored in double digits 6 of them, with her season high being 17 thus far. On the defensive end she really makes things happen for her team, again in 6 of their games she has had 3+ steals. Playing with the amount of talent and leaders she is around, her game will only elevate. She is someone to watch the rest of this season and career. She plays AAU for the Team Curry organization.
Sophie Levine: The 5’7 lefty shooting guard from Providence Day School has proven she is a threat from deep. Shooting nearly 36% from 3 point land in 8 games played, she has made at least 1 in 7 of the games. She does a really good job of getting her feet set, and has a nice release point. She is a player who is going to continue to get more consistent with her shot and really be a threat for the rest of her career.
Lili Booker: The 5’4 point guard from Providence Day School is a tough, hard nosed player. She is super quick with the ball in her hands, gets downhill and is crafty in the lane. She has quick hands on defense as well, if she is guarding you she is going to try, and a lot of times succeed, in taking the ball from you. She has no problem playing baseline to baseline, and working hard for her team. She has great potential, and appears to be a coachable player. She plays AAU for the Lady Phoenix Elite.
Seini Hicks: The 5’11 forward from Cannon high school is a rebounding machine. Averaging nearly 9 rebounds a game as a freshman is nearly unheard of, and she is doing it. She has grabbed double digit boards 4 different times this season. And in her last 2 games has recorded a double-double. She really is a good athlete, gets off the floor quick, and does a pretty good job of not fouling when she plays. Just another player to keep your eye on for the next 4 seasons.
