Aunyah Teague (Trinity Christian, F, 2023) was tasked with tough opponents to guard underneath the basket, and she held her own. She scored herself, too, finding ways to move around in the paint and get the pass as she was moving in order to score. She followed the shots and had some second chance points, too. She had some nice power dribbles and movements without the ball to get herself open to score. Her points at the end of the game were the reason her team was still in it.
Raven LeXander (Concord Academy, G/F, 2024) came off the bench making immediate impacts grabbing rebounds for her team, especially getting second chance opportunities. She knows where to move in order to make an impact on the play or get a good pass for her to score. On defense, she timed her moves perfectly in order to make traps effective at half court.
Tionna Pettus Tionna Pettus 5'8" | PF Bessemer City | 2025 NC (Comenius, F, 2025) made her presence known on defense grabbing steal after steal to create her own offense. She hustles back for fast breaks even when she was not the one pushing the ball to make sure she contributes in some way. She does well with tracking the ball hoping to come down with the rebound, and she uses these rebounds effectively especially when they are offensive rebounds.
Makailah Davis Makailah Davis 5'6" | CG South Meck | 2025 NC (Comenius, SF, 2025) scored on several fast break attempts even pushing through contact to get there. She was able to convert some old fashioned three point plays, too. She also showed off her shot from all over the court including behind the three point line. On defense, she was constantly tracking the ball in order to grab steals and gain the possession back for her team.
