<strong>2022 5-9 W Bowen Corley – Chestatee</strong>
Bowen Corley was Chestatee’s number two option on the perimeter. She’s a solid athlete with a good nose for the ball. She provides and inside-out presence. Corley was on the receiving end of some nice [player_tooltip player_id="204668" first="Emma" last="Easterwood"] lob passes. Bowen has had to grow her ball handling skills this season and should be better for it down the road.
<strong>2021 6-1 C Logan Wiggins – Chestatee</strong>
The size of Logan Wiggins stands out. She’s a strongly built post presence that can clog the lane on defense. The volleyball standout can score around the basket but also can help space the floor, able to hit from the mid-range and occasionally beyond the arc. Learning to play with a mean streak could really help her development. She has the physical tools already in place to draw the attention of college coaches.
<strong>2023 5-10 PF [player_tooltip player_id="195978" first="Ava" last="Watson"] – North Gwinnett</strong>
A true stretch-four, colleges will want to keep an eye on [player_tooltip player_id="195978" first="Ava" last="Watson"] to see how she develops. She’s a mobile forward that can do damage inside and out. She hit a pair of threes and scored with her left hand inside. Watson finished with 8 points, 4 rebounds, 1 assist and 2 blocks. Watson is a skilled forward that should get better and better as she learns how to assert herself.
<strong>2022 5-11 F Gracie Deetz – Rabun County</strong>
Gracie Deetz came on strong in the fourth quarter against Cambridge. She’s an active forward that does a great job denying entry passes. With her mobility and length, Deetz earns deflections and steals. Gracie has a nice touch as well. She can hit from the mid-range and went 4-4 from the foul line. She has some similar traits to that of former LadyCat Brooke Henricks. Deetz is an effective player at the 2A level and will improve as she sees more high-level competition.
<strong>2023 5-11 W [player_tooltip player_id="188324" first="Jordynn" last="Dudley"] – Cambridge</strong>
Dudley didn’t have her usual field day slashing to the hoop but she still tallied a strong stat line with 11 points, 7 rebounds, 2 assists and 1 steal in a loss to Rabun County. Dudley sank a mid-range jumper to open her scoring. As her outside shot improves along with her ability to use her left hand, she will get tougher and tougher to stop. Her length and quickness defensively already make her an above-average defender.
<strong>2022 5-10 C Sydney Granby – Cambridge</strong>
Sydney Granby is the perfect garbage man role player for Cambridge. She’s tough on the glass and can finish up close. She doesn’t need many set plays or post touches to be effective. She buys into her job and does it well. She gave the smaller LadyCats issues with her size and strength. Granby double-doubled with 11 points, 10 rebounds and 1 block.
<strong>2023 5-10 F Mary Mullinax – Lumpkin County</strong>
Back from injury, Mary Mullinax showed some flashes of being a versatile combo-forward. She’s got length and a solid motor that helps her pick off passes and rebound. On offense, the Indians like to space the floor and can play 5-out. Mullinax made some good decisions as a passer and proved to be an opportunistic scorer up close. She tallied 6 points, 5 rebounds, 4 assists and 2 steals. Improving her outside shot will help her long-term development.
