Taylor Suarez (Charlotte Christian, G, 2024) is a name colleges should already know even though she is only beginning her high school career. I would be shocked if she doesn’t average double digits in steals this season with the Lady Knights. She is constantly coming up with the ball when playing defense, and she knows how to push the ball up the court herself for some transition points. She has a nice shot from behind the arc as well, showing that she is a threat from all areas of the court. The Knights should be excited that they have this athlete for another 4 years.
Lili Booker (Providence Day, G, 2024) did an excellent job pushing the ball up the court and increasing the speed of the game. She can drive against any kind of contact. Her vision of the court was great as she made passes getting her teammates involved. She pushed the ball up the court, and she create these opportunities for herself as she grabbed steals. Her IQ sometimes works faster than her teammates, but she knows how to be a director and show others where to position themselves in order to make some contributions. She already shows some leadership on both ends of the court. She had a nice old fashioned three point play opportunity.
India Smith (Asheville Christian Academy, G, 2024) has a bright future ahead of her showing that she can drive against any kind of competition. She has great length on her that she uses on defense causing problems for her opponents. She has great vision of the court already knowing where to dish the ball to get to her teammates even when fans may have thought the play had broken down.
