United Bank Holiday Invitational

This holiday season and basketball schedule has really changed in the past weeks. Some states have shutdown everything while others try to maintain tourneys. The United Bank Holiday Invitational is down to 19 teams this season during these Covid-19 times. Prep Girls Hoops was able to watch New Hope Academy play down in the Palmetto State. New Hope Academy brought 2 teams for the event. Lets take a look at some the players performances right here. The Lady Tigers improved to (3-0) on the season with a win over Hebron Christian (GA) 61-59. <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="51187" first="Maria" last="Gakdeng"]</strong> a Boston College signee made the game winner in the final seconds for the opening round victory. Miles a left-handed guard with a quick first step was dynamite today with her play. Miles scored 7 points while dishing out 7 assists in the win. Miles was a pesky defender all game long picking up 6 swipes on the day. <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="136415" first="Bianca" last="Pendleton"]</strong> (2021) is a post player who doesn’t mind playing physical in the paint. Pendleton will join Miles next year at Towson University. Pendleton didn’t get many touches on the offensive end of the floor. <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="136423" first="Reniya" last="Jones"]</strong> scored just 6 points while knocking down a few three pointers. Bailey came off the bench today and provided a spark for the Lady Fighting Tigers. Allembert who hails from the Virgin Islands. Allembert plays in the post and she lived on the foul line today in a game vs Legacy Early College. Allembert finished with 18 points in the game and did of her work inside the paint. Allembert played the game extremely hard and never looked to take a play off. &nbsp;
