Anna Taylor (Princeton guard, 2023)
It’s hard to say that Anna Taylor isn’t the top three point shooter in North Carolina and it was on full display in this game. The sophomore guard hit five threes en route to 21 points which led all scorers for Princeton. As a freshman, she made 104 triples at a 48% clip and she hopes to keep that going as a member of the Bulldogs.
Meredith Wooten (Princeton guard, 2021)
Taylor’s backcourt running mate, 2021 guard Meredith Wooten, is as competitive as they come. Although she dealt with foul trouble in the second half, she still found a way to impact both ends of the floor in her minutes. Wooten finished with 12 points in Princeton’s victory and controlled the tempo offensively. She rarely turns the ball over and on defense, she guards the oppositions best player.
Hailey Tart (Princeton forward, 2023)
Beddingfield made a lot of adjustments defensively including going to a triangle and two defense. That’s where Hailey Tart came in and made some big shots for Princeton throughout the second and third quarter. The sophomore forward beat the zone with her ability to consistently score from the outside. If she becomes a consistent threat offensively, it’ll make the Bulldogs and even better team than they already are.
Daneesha Briggs (Beddingfield guard, 2023)
This Wilson native is an excellent shot creator and it showed in this contest as she scored 26 points. She was knocking down threes from way behind the line, attacking the basket, and making plays for her teammates. In a tough Eastern Plains 2-A conference, guard play is key and Beddingfield has a promising prospect in Daneesha Briggs.
