Taylor Parker (Hickory Grove Christian) is a tall ball handler who knows how to push the ball up the court. She can dish it to her teammates as well, especially looking for her post player teammates. She can certainly score herself as she can drive to the basket fighting through any kind of contact, and she did so taking over the game when her team needed her to. She does a great job following shots to grab rebounds for her team, and she had some nice blocks as well making it difficult for players to get shots up against her. She finished with 12 points.
Heywan Samuel (Hickory Grove Christian) had a nice put back off of an offensive rebound using a power dribble to create space between her and her opponent. She certainly has potential to get some more points herself, and she knows how to get her teammates involved finding them for passes and using the gaps from the defense to her advantage.
Cameron Fisher (Hickory Grove Christian) was a feisty guard who seemed to be all over the court causing problems for her opponents on defense. She was diving on the floor for loose balls and fighting through contact when handling the ball. She had some crucial free throw points that closed the gap between her team and her opponents.
Alexis Hailey (Covenant Day) showed how she can handle the ball, too. She did a great job creating separation between her and her teammates in order to show off her shot. She drove to the basket fighting through contact and handling the ball well against any kind of defense that was before her. She used this aggressiveness to score on the free throw line as well. Her fast breaks in the fourth quarter helped extend the lead for her team and secure the win. She helped end the possession of her opponents by grabbing steals as well. She finished with 11 points against Metrolina Christian Academy.
