Jyana Salton Jyana Salton 5'9" | PG Porter Ridge | 2023 State NC : The 5’9 sophomore point guard from Porter Ridge high school is picking up where she left off in her freshman year. She is still crafty with the ball in her hands, able to get downhill and into the paint quickly and finish, or get to the free-throw line. She is a pesk on defense. So far this season she is averaging right at 3 steals per game. She will pick you up full court, read the floor and make plays, she is doing a solid job defensively thus far. Putting up over 14 points a game so far, and grabbing over 6 boards, she is off to another hot season.
Kaylee Carson Kaylee Carson 5'8" | PG Independence | 2024 State NC : The 5’8 freshman point guard from Independence high school is making a name for herself already. Scoring in double-digits in all 3 of their games played already, and going 8 for 8 from 2 in one of them, the girl has shown she is ready to be a scorer. She gets into the paint and finishes around the rim pretty well (both sides), she is working on becoming a threat from 3 point land. She is doing an excellent job on the boards grabbing nearly 7 per game, and she is dishing the ball at over 4 assists per game. She definitely has a bright future ahead of her if she keeps working hard! She plays AAU for the 1Dream organization.
Mia Xerras Mia Xerras 5'6" | CG Myers Park | 2023 State NC : The 5’6 sophomore point guard from Myers Park high school is a known deadly 3 point shooter, and in their lone game played this year, she did not disappoint. She has a great release, gets space she needs, quick with the ball in her hands, and knows how to setup her teammates. She plays hard defense, can guard the other teams better players, creates steals and chaos for her team to go the other way. All in all she is a tough and hard nosed player who makes an immediate impact for her squad. She plays AAU for the Lady Attack Elite organization.
Alyssa Lewis: The 5’8 sophomore shooting guard from Hickory Ridge high school has been lights out thus far this season. She is shooting over 30% from behind the arc, knocking down at least 2 per game in every game but 1. She moves without the ball to get open, has a pretty quick and nice release point, a very smooth shot. She has scored in double-digits in every game played this season but 1. She also rebounds well for a shooting guard, grabbing over 3 per game, and dishing out over 2 assists per game. She has a lot of room to grow and keep getting better, a player to keep on watching.
