Sara Plyler | Gaston Christian | 2023
Plyler already shows a lot of leadership on the court with the way she is constantly talking. She has nice ball handling skills that she uses to blow by her opponents. She sees the floor well looking for open teammates, and she makes sure to pass the ball where her teammate is moving to. She has a nice shot herself from all over the court.
Mia Raymond | Hough | 2023
Raymond is a tough defender grabbing steals for her team. She follows shots as well grabbing rebounds. Her defense quickly turns to offense as she can push the ball up the court. She is certainly a floor general already showing her teammates the best areas to go in order to make a contribution. She is patient when letting plays develop to put the best shot up.
Mattie Roark | Tabernacle Christian | 2024
Roark is an effective ball handler who can do a little bit of everything on the court. She can blow by her opponents, she can put up her shot, or she can dish it to her teammates for them to get two points. She follows shots as well finding ways to grab rebounds. She is an effective defender grabbing steals that are immediately pushed up the court for some transition points.
Kendyll Moore | Northwest Cabarrus | 2024
Moore already has some good height on her as a freshman in high school, and she has the ball handling skills of a point guard. She can push the ball up the court and score through any kind of contact. Her jump shot is efficient as well showing she doesn’t need to be close to the basket to score. She is an effective shot blocker making it difficult for opponents to score near her.
McKenzie Ross | Lincoln Charter | 2024
Ross’ size may not be the most intimidating aspect for a young basketball player, but she sure knows how to make the best of what she has. She closes out on opponents going up for the shot faster than most of her teammates, and this allows her to track the ball swatting shots away filling blocks on her stats sheet. She handles the ball well on offense finding her open teammates or takes the ball to the basket herself.
