Lea Boyens | Northview Middle | 2025
Boyens already has a high IQ at such a young age. She handles the ball well pushing it up the court, and she knows how to find her open teammates. She is a sharp shooter, too, showing that she isn’t only a ball handling guard. On defense, her vision of the court is apparent by the way she jumps into passing lanes and grabs steals.
Amya Leathers | Hickory Ridge Middle | 2025
Leathers is another great ball handler for this team. She has various moves that she can use to get by her opponents including crossovers and behind the back dribbles. She has a nice shot as well. On defense, she can pick the pocket of her opponents pushing it the other way. Her speed is an asset for her to move from end to end on the court blowing by her opponents.
Sophia Zoerb | St. Mark Catholic | 2025
Zoerb is a high IQ player that can certainly lead this team well. She is patient when handling the ball letting her teammates set up a play. She has a nice shot that she shows off at just the right times, and she is very efficient when she does put up her shot. She uses her length to create problems on defense causing deflections and grabbing steals.
Sydney McGuire | Mallard Creek Stem Academy | 2027
You can simply tell she is going to be a great ball handler with the way she already pushes the ball up the floor. She drives to the basket, and she has a nice floater that she can put up in the middle of the paint. She can crossover her defenders to get by them, and she also has a nice jump shot that she can use to score.
Lauren Mathis | Gaffney Middle | 2027
Mathis plays really tight defense on her opponents making it difficult for them to get anything going. This translates well to the offensive end of the court as she knows how to get by opponents who are showing gaps and slower speeds. She is already an aggressive athlete attacking the basket.
Daphca Dyson | Lincoln Charter | 2027
Dyson already has some great height on her that she uses to get open on offense. She is a rebounding machine for her team, too, so opponents better learn how to box her out. She runs the floor well, and she isn’t afraid to show off her jump shot.
