Helpman is an effective shooter, and she uses various ways to show off her shot. She can handle the ball well creating separation from her defenders to show off her shot. Her vision of the court is also on display as she moves into the gap of the defense. She is a scorer on all three levels, and she is ready to shoot whenever she gets the ball. She hit her 1000th point this past season with a shortened high school season. She stands at 5’10” causing match up problems for her opponents.
Bella Wilson | Highlands High | G | 2023
As an underclassmen, Wilson has already been making impacts in her high school games. She uses her length and athleticism to jump into gaps on defense. She can handle the ball well in transition using speed to score before opponents seem to even know she had the ball. She can also shoot well from behind the three point line showing she is a threat from many areas of the court.
Macy Wike | Smoky Mountain High | G | 2023
Wike is a player who is constantly moving on the court whether she is on offense finding the gaps in the defense, or she is on defense anticipating passes to steal. She has good size and strength about her that makes her a threat on the court no matter who she is going against. She rebounds well for her teams, and she can finish around the rim. Her quick release when shooting makes her a difficult player to defend.
Vivian Bracebridge | High Point Academy | G | 2023
Bracebridge is a new addition to Team Carolina, and she is bringing with her top level three point shooting. Her efficiency shooting is certainly something to write about, but this shooting ability also allows her to create plays for her teammates. She finds open teammates when people try to close out on her showing she is constantly keeping her head on a swivel.
Dorothy Mills | Pisgah High | G | 2024
Mills started as point guard for her varsity team this year showing that she knows how to make immediate impacts for her team. She already has a high IQ as the floor general for her team, and her skills don’t stop with her ball handling. She is a shooter, too, showing off her ability from behind the arc. Her IQ is apparent on defense as well jumping into passing lanes grabbing steals to take and score in transition.
