Skyler Smith | 5-6 G | Platinum Basketball 2023 (Alexander) | Nocona High, TX | 2024 | @Platinumbball
Another week, another stop on the PGH Circuit and another Platinum baller just ballin’ out. This time around it was Smith who is a tremendous spot up shooter. She does a great job of receiving the ball in a position to shoot. She can hit from deep. Like seriously. She hit SIX three-pointers in the opening game for her team and every other team this weekend better be on notice. When Smith steps in the gym, she is in range. She’s no slouch on the defensive end, either. She is a smart player who does a good job of stepping into passing lanes and diagnosing what the other team is doing. That being said, she is probably the best spot-up shooter that we have seen on the circuit yet this year.
Olivia Littlecook | 5-3 G | Tulsa JYD 2023 | Frontier High, OK | 2023 | @olivialilcook23
Littlecook is part of a really good guard tandem for Tulsa JYD. She is quick and has very good handles. She works hard on both ends of the court and does a good job of working within her team’s offensive system and finishing when she has the ball in her hands. She can stroke the three with good elevation and a nice high release. Trust me, it is a very pretty shot. She had one three pointer but scored most of her 17 points by driving hard to the rim and finishing amongst the “trees.” She moves very quickly with the ball, but is very controlled and measured with her movements as she advances through the defense. Littlecook is going to be a fun one to watch over the next several years.
Keeley Parks | 5-11 G | Team Trae Young 2023 | Whittier Middle, OK | 2025 | @KeeleyParks04
There’s a reason this eighth grader has a LOT of D-I offers already. She is an absolute superstar. Her handles are out of this world. Add that in with her size as a guard and her ridiculous speed and you can see what so many great coaches are seeing in her – even before reaching high school. She gets to the rim by beating her defender one-on-one or breaking a double team if she needs to. Honestly, it’s almost like if she wants it, she will get it. The majority of her 17 points came from free throws due to her ability to get to the rim and draw contact. It goes without saying but her continuous ability to draw fouls in the lane causes a lot of problems for opposing teams who find themselves in foul trouble very early on. I know that I use a lot of cliches and hyperbole here, but honestly, the sky is the limit for Keeley. her future is going to be a very exciting one to keep an eye on.
