PGH Legacy Classic: 16U All-Tournament Team

The 2023 class represented the most participants in the PGH Legacy Classic. The class was also very deep in talent, so I went a little deeper and provided a first team, second team, and third team, and a few honorable mention names. Even then some good prospects were left off the list. The 16U All-Tournament teams were the most difficult to construct with so much talent and a good amount of parity between the top prospects. On a side note, names not included on the roster sheet weren't included for accuracy of player information purposes. <h2>First Team All-Tournament Team</h2> **Updated** 4/25 Tournament MVP - [player_tooltip player_id="63019" first="Audi" last="Crooks"] - (6'3/C/2023) - CY Select Wolves - Bishop Garrigan (Iowa) - Audi was left out by error with the initial posting, but she is an easy selection for First Team All-Tournament and was MVP of the entire event. A completely dominant weekend for Audi and the undefeated CY Select squad. [player_tooltip player_id="63033" first="Molly" last="Joyce"] - (5'7/PG/2023) - CY Select Wolves - Bishop Garrigan (Iowa) - Molly stands out on the 16U team, being in a tier of her own. She's honed her craft at the point guard position. [player_tooltip player_id="127623" first="Katy" last="Reyerson"] - (6'2/Wing-PF/2023) - CY Select Wolves - West Marshall (Iowa) - Mentioned many times with event coverage, Katy had the best combination of length and skill in the 2023 class. [player_tooltip player_id="276829" first="Adison" last="Markowski"] - (5'8/SF/2023) - Nebraska Lasers Supreme 2023 Gold - Pius X (Nebraska) - It's about time that we mentioned Adison. Definitely long overdue, as she was one of the best overall prospects at the event. Caught some of her high school action and she's a starter for powerhouse Pius X as a Sophomore. So she's doing something right. She's 5'8 and has a strong/athletic build to her with above average movement. More of a glider up and down the court than having elite quickness. Attacks the rack hard and consistently and has a highly accurate set three-point shot that she can get off quickly. She projects as a wing player at the next level with a complete offensive and defensive game. [player_tooltip player_id="276513" first="Brooklyn" last="Kruse"] - (6'3/C/2023) - United Sports Academy 2023 - Wayne (Nebraska) - Brooklyn had the best overall size and length out of the class. One of the few true centers that also had good athletic ability. There may have been better statistical performers but Brooklyn stands out as an overall prospect at 6'3. Look for her ranking to be revealed in upcoming weeks. [player_tooltip player_id="127608" first="Riley" last="Batta"] - (5'10-5'11/PG/2023) - United Sports Academy 2023 - South Central Calhoun (Iowa) -Riley had the best combination of size and athleticism at the point guard spot at the event. This gives her a good amount of upside if the point guard spot is new to her. She a great handle on the ball and a feel for the game. Distributed the [player_tooltip player_id="276832" first="Brinly" last="Christensen"] - (5/11/Wing/2023) - Nebraska Lasers Supreme 2023 Gold - Lincoln Southwest (Nebraska) - Brinly looks the part of everything you're looking for in a versatile/athletic wing. Plays like it too. One of PGH's favorites in the event that was considered for first team honors. Impressive combination of length and movement. On top of everything, she's a great and accurate passer. She was matched up with [player_tooltip player_id="276504" first="Inia" last="Jones"] and it was fun to watch. Ana was causing some fits. [player_tooltip player_id="276512" first="Makenna" last="Lesiak"] - (5'9/SF/2023) - Nebraska Lasers Supreme 2023 Gold - Pius X (Nebraska) - An underrated prospect in the event that comes from a legitimate high school program. [player_tooltip player_id="276684" first="Addison" last="Klahn"] - (5'8/PG/2023) - OSA Crusaders 2023 National Hall - Millard West (Nebraska) - Addison was a complete scorer on all three levels. She could do-it-all and was a tough competitor.
