There are many great girls who balled out in regional play. We give a look below at fourteen girls who put up great performances.
<b>[player_tooltip player_id="153322" first="Baylee" last="Goins"] - Nitro - 2021 - Guard</b>
<span style="font-weight: 400;">If you don’t already know the name [player_tooltip player_id="153322" first="Baylee" last="Goins"] then you are missing out. Goins, one of the best throughout the state, had a great performance in Nitro’s regional win over Saint Joseph Central. Goins put up a total of 28 points with 21 of those coming in the 2nd and 3rd quarters. Goins also added 8 rebounds and 7 assists to her totals. Nitro will now face Midland Trail after earning the 3 seed in the State Tournament.

<b>[player_tooltip player_id="153370" first="Marley" last="Washenitz"] - Fairmont Senior - 2022 - Guard</b>
<span style="font-weight: 400;">[player_tooltip player_id="153370" first="Marley" last="Washenitz"] put up all-around numbers in the Polar Bears win over Lincoln. Washenitz put up 18 points, but where she stood out was adding 10 rebounds and 10 assists to claim the triple-double. Washenitz also added 7 steals in her defensive effort. Fairmont Senior will now face Lewis County as the Polar Bears have deservingly so earned the 1 seed in the State Tournament.</span>
<b>[player_tooltip player_id="153372" first="Peyton" last="Ilderton"] - Logan - 2022 - Guard</b>
<span style="font-weight: 400;">Leading the Logan Wildcats into the State Tournament is junior guard, [player_tooltip player_id="153372" first="Peyton" last="Ilderton"]. Ilderton put up 24 points in their 22 point victory over Winfield to head to Charleston. Logan has earned the 4 seed and will face Pikeview in the State Tournament on Wednesday night.</span>
<b>[player_tooltip player_id="153426" first="Olivia" last="Toland"] - North Marion - 2023 - Guard</b>
<span style="font-weight: 400;">[player_tooltip player_id="153426" first="Olivia" last="Toland"] of North Marion put up a solid performance in their blowout win against Keyser. Toland had 20 points along with 8 rebounds and 7 steals. The North Marion Huskies have earned the 2 seed for the State Tournament and will face Hampshire in the Quarterfinals.</span>
<b>[player_tooltip player_id="153341" first="Jamara" last="Walton"] - Woodrow Wilson - 2021 - Center</b>
<span style="font-weight: 400;">The recent WV State commit, [player_tooltip player_id="153341" first="Jamara" last="Walton"] has had a great senior season. Coming through and getting the inside points for the attacking Eagles. Walton lifted Woodrow Wilson with 24 points in their win over Capital to claim a regional championship. As for Woodrow Wilson, they will face a tough George Washington squad in the quarterfinals at the State Tournament.</span>
<b>[player_tooltip player_id="153421" first="Sydney" last="Baird"] - Webster County - 2023 - Guard</b>
<span style="font-weight: 400;">Webster County clinched a huge win over James Monroe on Wednesday night. Winning by 21, the Highlanders led by sophomore guard [player_tooltip player_id="153421" first="Sydney" last="Baird"]. Baird put up 20 points, 7 assists, and 6 rebounds to send the Highlanders to Charleston. They will face Tucker County in the 4-5 matchup at States.</span>
<b>Ashlynn Van Tassell - Cameron - 2024 - Guard</b>
<b>Lili Neely - Cameron - 2021 - Guard</b>
<span style="font-weight: 400;">Having one great standout is awesome enough, but having two is special! Cameron is bringing their best to Charleston after getting an 82-50 win over Clay-Battelle. Led by Tassell with 28 points and 13 rebounds and partner Neely with 22 points and 5 rebounds. There is no doubt, Cameron, earning the 2 seed in “A” will have a shot for the title starting on Tuesday next week.</span>
<b>[player_tooltip player_id="153352" first="Allison" last="Burdette"] - Mussleman - 2021 - Guard</b>
<span style="font-weight: 400;">Falling short of the goal, Mussleman couldn’t squeeze past Martinsburg again. However, Mussleman senior sharpshooter [player_tooltip player_id="153352" first="Allison" last="Burdette"] still had a great performance against the Bulldogs. Burdette putting up 25 points in their season-ending loss.</span>
<b>[player_tooltip player_id="153325" first="Skylar" last="Davidson"] - Wyoming East - 2021 - Guard</b>
<b>[player_tooltip player_id="153433" first="Abby" last="Russell"] - Wyoming East - 2023 - Guard</b>
<span style="font-weight: 400;">Another great one-two punch in regionals play came from the Wyoming East Warriors. [player_tooltip player_id="153325" first="Skylar" last="Davidson"] led with 21 points and 13 steals and [player_tooltip player_id="153433" first="Abby" last="Russell"] with 18 points and 11 steals. Both scrappy guards defensively leading to an 82-17 win over Chapmanville. Wyoming East now heads to Charleston as the 2 seed in “AA”.</span>
<b>Halley Smith - Frankfort - 2022 - Guard</b>
<span style="font-weight: 400;">Big games are where you need players to step up. Halley Smith of Frankfort helped Frankfort pull out a contested win over Trinity 60-48. Smith had 20 points, 11 rebounds, 6 assists, and 6 steals. The Frankfort Falcons will get the second game to open up the State Tournament against Williamstown.</span>
<b>Madisyn Curry - Mingo Central - 2023 - Guard</b>
<b>Scarlett Thompson - Mingo Central - 2021 - Guard</b>
<span style="font-weight: 400;">Mingo Central had some revenge to hand over to Summers County on Thursday night. The Miners avenging the earlier season loss, came through to beat Summers County by 9. Madisyn Curry dominated the boards with 20 rebounds and added 16 points. Scarlett Thompson who led scoring fit the Miners put up 20 points with 3 rebounds and 3 steals. The Miners have earned the 7 seed in the State Tournament and will face Wyoming East next week.</span>
