<span style="font-weight: 400;">We chose the top five players from class “AAAA” who performed the best at the State Tournament. Take a look below at our MVP and the four others.</span>
<b>MVP: [player_tooltip player_id="153323" first="Kalissa" last="Lacy"] - George Washington - 2021 - Guard</b>
<span style="font-weight: 400;">Reigning state player of the year and Morehead State signee, [player_tooltip player_id="153323" first="Kalissa" last="Lacy"] came out lighting the nets at the State Tournament. Lacy came out firing having 37 points in her first game. Lacy would follow with a solid performance in a semifinal loss. </span>
<b>[player_tooltip player_id="153371" first="Dionna" last="Gray"] - Huntington - 2022 - Guard</b>
<span style="font-weight: 400;">[player_tooltip player_id="153371" first="Dionna" last="Gray"] wasn’t a heavy name spoken on at the State Tournament but she led Huntington to their “AAAA” title. Gray had 26 points in their comeback win over Martinsburg. Gray would continue to lockdown on defense for the Highlanders.</span>
<b>[player_tooltip player_id="153321" first="Kaitlyn" last="Ammons"] - Morgantown - 2021 - Forward</b>
<span style="font-weight: 400;">The best post presence in Charleston was Morgantown senior [player_tooltip player_id="153321" first="Kaitlyn" last="Ammons"]. Ammons had a fast start in their win over Wheeling Park and suffered a loss to Huntington in the semifinals. Ammons averaged 13 points between the two games.</span>
<b>[player_tooltip player_id="153335" first="Autumn" last="Lewis"] - Cabell Midland - 2021 - Forward</b>
<span style="font-weight: 400;">[player_tooltip player_id="153335" first="Autumn" last="Lewis"] led the scoring column for Cabell Midland to make it into the State Championship. Lewis being the leader of the Knights helped them in their defensive efforts and rebounding too. </span>
<b>[player_tooltip player_id="153411" first="Keanti" last="Thompson"] - Woodrow Wilson - 2023 - Guard</b>
<span style="font-weight: 400;">Although the road was short, [player_tooltip player_id="153411" first="Keanti" last="Thompson"] showed she can ball. Thompson and Woodrow Wilson faced a tough George Washington squad. Thompson put up 18 points and showed off her shifty skills on offense. This sophomore could be one to watch out for.</span>
