Prep Girls Hoops was in attendance at the NTBA State Tourney this past weekend on the Grand Strand at the Myrtle Beach Sports Center. It’s time to take a look at some of the 2024 Top Performers from the event right here on your source for girls basketball coverage in the Palmetto State.

Seaberry plays the game at such a easy pace at times. Seaberry really likes to use the bounce pass (which is a lost art in todays game). Seaberry has the ability to create her own shot and for others on the floor. Seaberry changes speeds and directions to get by defenders and plays the game with quick hands on the defensive end. Seaberry moves really well with-out the ball in her hands and plays the game extremely unselfish.

[player_tooltip player_id="261908" first="Tynasjia" last="Ford"] - Oceanside Collegiate (Mount Pleasant) - Shots United
Ford is post player who can really take up some space down on the block. Ford needs to develop a post move down the road while showing to have soft hands in the paint. Ford is best suited in more of a half court style of play right now in her career.

[player_tooltip player_id="275340" first="Ashtyn" last="Adams"] - Hanahan HS - Coastal Select
Adams is going to be a good one in time for the Lady Hawks. Adams is constantly moving on the floor and really understands how to box-out down low and to seal. Adams seems very coachable and really stays involved in the game with her communication on and off the floor with her teammates. Adams used a nice-drop step today to finish around the cup. Adams can knockdown the short corner jumper on a regular basis.

[player_tooltip player_id="280762" first="Julia" last="Penton"] - Bishop England - Coastal Select
Penton is a SHOOTER and that really showed today. Penton connected on 5 three pointers according to my stats in a opening round win. Penton seems very comfortable setting up shop in the corners. Penton will be a player to watch down the road for the Battling Bishops.

[player_tooltip player_id="275253" first="Tanzania" last="Locklear"] - East Carteret HS (NC) - Crystal Coast Hurricanes
Locklear we first saw a few weeks back down here in Myrtle Beach. Locklear sure doesn’t lack any confidence on the floor and it showed this weekend. Locklear feels very comfortable trying to score the ball from all 3 levels on the floor. Locklear really likes the rock in her hands and has the ability to take over a game at times.
