2023: The Next 5 – POST

The 2023 Palmetto State Class is VERY DEEP with talent and it doesn’t end in just the Top 10. Prep Girls Hoops takes a look at the Next 5 outside the Top 10 to keep tabs on in the class. College Coaches its time to start following these young ladies. #RECRUITTHEPALMETTOSTATE <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="158945" first="Hailey" last="Chiles"] - Greenwood HS (pictured on front)</strong> Chiles really came to play earlier this spring when Prep Girls Hoops saw her in action in Indian Trail, NC. Chiles has a GREAT SET of HANDS and moves well around the paint. Chiles has a very soft touch to finish around the cup. Chiles is a really good passer from the high post and bit deceptive with her foot work around the basket. Chiles can extend the defense with her ability to knockdown shots from the perimeter at times. <img class="alignnone size-medium wp-image-298091" src="https://prephoops-uploads.s3.amazonaws.com/pgh/uploads/2021/06/283DC74E-46F5-44A7-A7AA-F2DFD5A6CFAB.jpeg" alt="" width="300" height="225" /> <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="172178" first="Peris" last="Smith"] - North Augusta HS </strong> Smith plays the game extremely hard and leaves it all on the floor with her play. Smith and the Lady Yellow Jackets fell short last season in the Class 4A Playoffs to North Myrtle Beach HS. Smith won’t hesitate to hit the deck for a loose ball, grab a rebound in traffic or finish around the basket on a put-back. Smith and Chiles both play on A’ja Wilson Elite - Dickerson 2022 along with [player_tooltip player_id="124106" first="J’Adore" last="Young"] #4 in the Palmetto State Class. <img class="alignnone size-medium wp-image-277940" src="https://prephoops-uploads.s3.amazonaws.com/pgh/uploads/2021/04/EBEF0855-5A58-4F16-B296-FD4947410479.jpeg" alt="" width="300" height="225" /> <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="171791" first="Peighton" last="Jambor"] - Berkeley HS (Moncks Corner) </strong> Jambor has some good bounce and does a great job of rebounding the ball on both ends of the floor. Jambor plays the game with a bit of a mean streak at times with her competitive edge. Jambor a athletic forward runs the floor well and will alter and challenge shots from time to time down in the paint. <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="171796" first="Yasmene" last="Clark"] - Christ Church </strong> Clark recently took a visit to Richmond University. Clark runs the Grassroots Circuit with FBC Carolina Elite Lyn 2022. Thompson scores around the cup and plays the game relentless on both sides of the floor. Thompson gets to the foul line at a high clip.
