Gabby Matthews | Carlina Falmes 8th Jr EYBL Chasten
Matthews seems to find the ball with ease grabbing steals on defense and pushing it up the court. She knows how to drive through contact as well making sure her points are scored no matter what it takes. She does a great job finding her open teammates even moving at full speed. She knows how to pull a defender to her in order for her to make her move and pull up for the jump shot or go all the way to the basket. She crashes the boards well, too, showing persistence when wanting the ball, especially with offensive rebounds.
Makenzie Kelly | Carolina Flames 8th Jr EYBL Chasten
Kelly is a physical player making sure she moves her opponents where she wants them to go on offense. She can use her body to move inside the paint and score. She shows awareness of where she is on the court at all times, so she knows how to move her body and score. She runs the floor well making sure she is there for some transition passes to score two points.
Morgan Thompson | Carolina Flames 8th Jr EYBL Chasten
Thompson is a tough guard who knows how to drive down the middle of the paint for some points. She can stroke it from the three point line as well, and she follows shots to grab rebounds finding ways to make her own second chance points. She makes some nice cuts down the middle of the paint getting open, and she shows no fear of contact.
Jaza Wilson | Lady Royals 15U
Wilson (pictured above) can shoot well from behind the arc. She makes smart cuts in and out of the paint constantly finding the open areas of the court and making the defense shift to try to stop her. She crashes the boards going after rebounds for another chance or to make sure her opponents don’t have a second chance.
Jania Wilson | Lady Royals 15U
Wilson was constantly jumping into passing lanes grabbing steals to take the other direction. She stayed in front of her opponent when guarding them, and she did a nice job moving the ball up the court with speed. She truly showed the importance of defense and how that commonly turns into her own offense.
