Hope Edwards Hope Edwards 5'6" | PG Leander | 2025 State TX
Sadie Sanchez Sadie Sanchez 5'6" | PG Randall | 2025 State TX -5’6 (Hoops 10)
Sanchez left a lasting first and second impression, first at an individual showcase yet so much more the next day at a tournament because she’s one of those point guards that can also score, mid to long-range or off the dribble yet her ball-handling and court vision are next-level ready right now and here’s another huge plus, she makes those around her better
Hope Edwards Hope Edwards 5'6" | PG Leander | 2025 State TX -5’6 (Centex)
Edwards also left a lasting impression at the same individual showcase until I realized I had seen her before, no roster, so I didn’t stay for long but those 2 minutes were memorable yet she shows so much more starting with explosiveness, off the dribble, or on the jumper yet her ball-handling and blazing on the money passes carried over to the next day as she scored and assisted her way to this list
Rezia Castillo Rezia Castillo 5'7" | PG Clear Brook | 2025 State TX -5’7 (Cy Fair Premier)
Castillo was labeled #D1Lock by me in the 2nd grade, the second-youngest player I’ve dropped that on, the youngest was my daughter at birth when the nurse slapped her and was slapped right back so I knew she’d have quick hands, yet Castillo had quick everything and was under control going full speed. Fast forward to now, she understands how to run a team, control tempo, and get the ball to the right person yet she can also score either attacking or with the legitimate jumper
Leonna Sneed Leonna Sneed 5'6" | PG SA Wagner | 2025 State TX -5’6 PG (SA Finest) SA Wagner HS
Sneed’s nickname is LA and after seeing her in the 5th grade, I said she was not only a #D1Lock but LA fit because she was definitely going to be a star. No need to question if I was right, her poise playing against players, her skill-set as well as her mindset told the story and now she’s about to enter high school playing on one of the top club teams in the state but her ability to take defenders however she wants to, finish after contact and the smoothness she shows creating her shot speaks volumes but does her ballhandling and ability to see the floor
Aaliyah Chavez Aaliyah Chavez 5'9" | PG Monterey | 2025 State TX -5’7 PG (Cy Fair 16U EYBL)
Chavez was also called a #D1Lock by me in the 5th grade when I caught her playing up and spinning on high school players like they weren’t there yet she also showed she was acrobatic and under control at a young age and what’s up now, with numerous BCS offers already on the table, it would be a safe bet to say that she’s going to continue to create problems because she just understands how to keep defenders off balance with numerous moves including the “stutta” as in stutter step as well as the “HEZ” as in hesitation and I guess that stop and pop jumper helps as well
