There was an hour of stations, followed by a couple of games for each of the showcase teams. Below is a look at five Freshmen (2025) who stood out when I was able to see them in action.

Addison is a long, quick/fast, and very skillful lead guard who plays with a great deal of poise and awareness. She seems to see the game one step ahead of everyone, she finds open teammates through tight windows, but she also handles pressure well and rarely shows any panic in her game. She can knock down open jumpers, but she’s probably best slicing through the defense. As she finishes growing and gaining strength, look for her to be one of the better point guards in this 2025 class.

Gabby made quite a splash this year, consistently playing in the 15U age group, but also occasionally filling in at the 17U level for her travel program. She has an athletic frame, some length, and good explosiveness in all directions. She is wiry-strong, somewhat bouncy, and she plays with a nice motor. I felt like she was more of scorer all Spring & Summer, but Sunday she showed nice ball skill. I think she’ll make for a nice combo guard because of her ability to play either guard position.

Sunday was my first opportunity to see Leah in person, and she is an impressive young prospect. She has a strong frame, but she’s also athletic/explosive in most directions. She showed an advanced low-block game offensively, but she possesses the skill and potential to be a nice mid-post ‘4’ who might even be able to stretch her game to the perimeter consistently over time. At this time, she has to be considered as one of the better “bigs” in the Class of 2025, as she definitely has some tools to work with.

Mylie is a long, quick/fast, and explosive combo guard. She has really nice ball skill and can run offense like a point guard. She attacks the basket aggressively and collapses the defense regularly, but she can also hit an open rhythm jumper. At the same time, she’s so good scoring the ball, that she can also play alongside a more traditional point guard and still find scoring opportunities. Defensively, she uses her length and quickness to really bother/frustrate opposing ball-handlers.

Over the past few months, Brooke has proven to be one of the more skilled, more consistent forwards in this 2025 class. She has a long, wiry-strong, athletic frame, she plays with an outstanding motor, and she flashes good skill around the mid-post. She doesn’t mind stepping outside and playing around the perimeter on occasion, and I think she will eventually stretch her game to 3-point range full-time. She can also walk smaller defenders down to the low-block and score it consistently inside.
