I do these teams as a way of acknowledging that these players worked their butts off in a loaded group of good players and stood out to me. So, with no further ado, here they are.
Brandie Harrod Brandie Harrod 6'1" | SF Millwood | 2025 State OK | 5-10 PG | Millwood | 2025 | @HarrodBrandie
When you make freshmen rankings before the players have actually played in high school, it can be a complete crapshoot. You have seen a few of the kids over the years from different showcases and tournaments, but sometimes you just get it wrong. Harrod should not have been ranked No. 40. She won’t be ranked No. 40 next time. After seeing her in this showcase, I can honestly say that she is probably one of the best players in the class of 2025. She is a tall and long guard who is not just a great passer with very good vision, she is a stellar defender. Brandie can defend any position on the floor and do it at a very high level. She gets up and down the floor well and is just a lot of fun to watch. She plays the game the right way and is going to be a big time star in the future.
Kylee Hunt Kylee Hunt 5'5" | PG Choctaw | 2022 State OK | 5-6 PG | Putnam City North | 2022 | @Kyleeshari1
One of our stock risers in the newest iteration of the 2022 rankings, Hunt rose from No. 73 to No. 57. Several schools have taken notice recently of Kylee’s skill set and there was no choice but to move her up. She is a top-10 pure point guard in the state. Hunt’s game all starts with her defense. As I said during a tweet during one of her games, she doesn’t give her opponent any room to breath. She is a vicious defender. You can see it in her eyes that she just wants it. She is a good shooter. She is a great teammate from the looks of it. If you are a college coach who wants a true leader for your team who does all of the little things, look no furtger than Kylee Hunt Kylee Hunt 5'5" | PG Choctaw | 2022 State OK .
Kayton Lefthand | 5-7 PG | Strother | 2024 |
Kayton is a very good point guard who honestly should have been in our 2024 rankings. She will be in the future. Lefthand is a great point guard with good speed, handles and outstanding vision. She could be seen dishing passes through small windows all over the court. She is one of those shooters who, when she is left open in the corner, causes everyone to yell “SHOOTER!” That’s how you know she’s deadly. Lefthand has good size for a point guard and is a very high motor player. I am excited to see her development as time goes on. She has a great skill set to build on and the future is very, very bright for her.
Jenna McManus Jenna McManus 5'11" | SF Southmoore | 2023 State OK | 5-11 CG | Southmoore | 2023 | @JennaMcManus2
McManus was a revelation at the I-35 Showcase. I knew of her (and her sister), I had seen a lot of video of them, but I had honestly never had her jump out at me as a big time prospect. That all changed last Saturday. The first thing that jumps out at you about Jenna is her size. If she is a guard, she definitely jumps out at you. Great size, great mobility. However, she is definitely not limited to the one or two. She can play every position at a high level. She goes hard. She is strong. She is the total package and is a great college prospect. She can score from all three levels. She has good handles and good speed. Jenna is a great player and probably deserving of a lot higher ranking in the class of 2023. Oh, by the way coaches, in case you were wondering, she is a very good student with a 4.74 GPA. That should work, right?
Braci Nyberg Braci Nyberg 5'7" | PG Seiling | 2024 State OK | 5-7 PG | Seiling | 2024 | @BraciNyberg
There is a reason that Braci is playing for a tremendous grassroots squad like Team Griffin. She can go. Flat out go. She has tremendous handles and does a great job of getting to the rim. She can finish strong with either hand, through contact. She shoots it very well and even showed a stop and pop jump shot from midrange. There’s a reason she is not only our No. 35-ranked player, but just recently moved up 11 spots. She goes hard all game, defends very well and she is a talkative leader for her squad – exactly what you would want from a point guard. Nyberg is a small school star who is going to be a big time prospect in the very near future – if not already!
