Week 3 of the 695Hoops Fall League featured some more excellent action from the usual league participants and the debut of the Western Doves who pulled out a 2 point win over Mount Carmel. Mercy and Pallotti played a spirited contest that featured some excellent young guard play which we will get into in another piece. For now check out some of the outstanding players on the day...

Nice performance from this six foot wing prospect. She has good length and her three point shot looks great. She puts it on the floor well and finishes through contact. Capable enough ball handler to initiate some offense and played good team defense. Puts pressure on the defense by moving without the ball and running in transition. Exceptional athlete.
<strong>Emory Aarons, Wise, 2023</strong>
Emory is a scrappy and fiesty point guard that takes no plays off. She competes at a high level on defense, using her quick feet and active hands to frustrate opponents. She has a nice floater game and gets to the rim.
<strong>Chrisdin Jones, Wise, 2023 </strong>
<img class="alignnone size-thumbnail wp-image-337989" src="https://prephoops-uploads.s3.amazonaws.com/pgh/uploads/2021/10/20211002_174832-150x150.jpg" alt="" width="150" height="150" />
Chris is a big guard/wing and an explosive athlete. She thrives in the paint where she attacks the offensive glass relentlessly. She has a nice shot out to about 15 feet and draws a lot of fouls. Very physical and competitive player. She should have a strong season in PG county.

Hawa was dominant in her first appearance in league play. At 6'5" she is a legitimate problem on the defensive end, altering, blocking and even catching shots in mid air. She controlled the glass on both ends of the floor and used her size to draw plenty of fouls. She has a nice touch on her foul shots and her offensive skills are emerging.
<strong>[player_tooltip player_id="137244" first="Tsion" last="Smith"], Mt. Carmel, 2022</strong>
<img class="alignnone size-thumbnail wp-image-337988" src="https://prephoops-uploads.s3.amazonaws.com/pgh/uploads/2021/10/20210925_110807-150x150.jpg" alt="" width="150" height="150" />
Tsion shot the ball really well from three point range and showed off a really quick release. She is a versatile defender, capable of banging in the paint with bigger guards and forwards and also keeping quick small guards in front of her. She's a high IQ team defender with a knack for funneling her assignment to where the help is. She is still sorting out her college options.
