They plan to stay competitive as they have the past several years, and here are some of the players that will help them do just that.
Taylor Dunn | 2022
If you saw Dunn play this summer, you would have no idea that she has been out with an injury. She does well shooting the ball from deep, and she can certainly run the floor well pushing the ball up the court. Her vision of the court is excellent finding open teammates making cuts to the basket. She gets to the basket herself battling through contact and showing off some nice floaters to score. On defense, watch out for her diving on the floor for loose balls gaining back possessions for her team.
Nevaeh Farmer Nevaeh Farmer 5'4" | PG North Mecklenburg | 2023 State NC | 2023
Farmer has been on the radar for years, and I see no signs of her slowing down. She blows by her opponents with speed, or she can stop and use some jab steps and hesitation moves to get by defenders. She finds ways to weave in and out of opponents to get to the basket, and she sees the floor well making perfect dishes to her teammates for their own points. Her speed and IQ together make her a threat on defense grabbing steals to push the other direction.
Dearia Page | 2023
Page is a great decision maker knowing when to dish the ball or take it all the way to the hoop herself. She keeps her eyes peeled for her teammates making cuts to give them the pass or show off her own shot from outside. She does an excellent job sneaking by her opponents on defense to jump in front of a pass and gain the possession. Her and Farmer will certainly be an excellent guard duo to see this year.
Kairah Dixon Booker | 2023
Dixon Booker does well knowing exactly how to move without the ball. She can seal off opponents on the block, and she knows how to clear out to get a pass for a short jumper or make room for her guard teammate driving hard to the basket. She does well crashing the boards going after rebounds to extend plays for her team or end the possession for her opponents.
Jocelyne Grier | 2025
Grier comes into high school already with Division I offers, and you can certainly see why. Her versatility when it comes to ways to finish at the rim are difficult to mimic. She has a beautiful shot from deep, and you can already see her IQ with the way she sees the floor and times her moves with and without the ball. She’s excellent in transition making smart passes up to her teammates or running the floor waiting for her pass.
