Last Saturday the Prep Girls Hoops Network held its third annual Top-250 Expo in Indiana, this time at the Noblesville Boys & Girls Club. There were 119 prospects in attendance, and I’ve already addressed a number of them in articles last week. With 16 teams and just three games per team, it made it difficult to watch most teams in-person for more than a half or so. However, below are some brief thoughts on the remaining prospects from Teams 1 through 4 and how those young ladies performed at the event.
TEAM-1:
Tori Thompson Tori Thompson 5'7" | CG Lafayette Central Catholic | 2023 State IN , 2023, Lafayette Central Catholic – Tori did a really nice job of facilitating much of the day. She was the oldest prospect on this team, and she showed leadership ability by helping the youngsters work together. Tori is a fast-rising prospect in 2023.
Destiny Garrison, 2024, Yorktown – Destiny isn’t very tall at 5-1, but she has an athletic frame, solid ball skill, and she can play either guard position. She seemed to absorb contact fairly well, and she looked to attack North/South more than anything.
Keaton Gatlin Keaton Gatlin 5'8" | SG Carmel | 2024 IN , 2024, Carmel – I’ve always been intrigued by Keaton’s combination of skill and potential. She is a really nice North/South athlete with length and wiry strength, she has some ball skill and can play point, but she can also attack the basket and score it.
Faith Leedy Faith Leedy 5'4" | PG Zionsville | 2024 State IN , 2024, Zionsville Community – Faith was injured in the Spring but returned in July and had a nice showing last Saturday. She is a strong and compact point guard, she is creative off the bounce, plus she can shoot/score it from many different spots on the floor.
Shelby Eaton Shelby Eaton 5'9" | SF Sheridan | 2025 IN , 2025, Zionsville Community – When I was able to see Shelby, she shot it very well from the perimeter, knocking down multiple 3-pointers. She has a strong frame for her age, she’s a solid athlete, and she plays with a nice motor.
Kiarra Handley Kiarra Handley 5'6" | CG Richmond | 2025 IN , 2025, Richmond – Kiarra has a strong frame for a youngster, she showed solid on-the-floor athleticism, and she has some length. She handed it a little bit, but when I saw her she was looking to get downhill and attack the basket.
Jaeda Wilson, 2025, Heritage Christian – Jaeda is another smaller guard, but she showed speed and very good quickness, plus she has nice length at her size. She will definitely need to get stronger over time, but she was an intriguing physical talent.
Team-2:
Alexia Cole Alexia Cole 5'9" | SF Pike | 2023 State IN , 2023, Pike – Alexia has a long, wiry-strong frame, and she’s a quick/fast and bouncy athlete in all directions. She always seems to play with a motor, and last weekend she looked like she has continued building her perimeter skillset.
Riley Flinn Riley Flinn 5'11" | SF West Lafayette Harrison | 2023 State IN , 2023, West Lafayette Harrison – Riley’s growth and development over the last three years have been as impressive as anyone’s. She looked strong, assertive, and decisive last weekend, as she was able to score the ball at all three levels.
Ava Carter Ava Carter 5'11" | SF Fishers | 2025 IN , 2024, Carmel – Ava has a lot of upside, and she might still be growing. She has tremendous length, fluid athleticism, but she is known as an accurate perimeter shooter. As she continues to gain strength, look for her to become a more complete scorer.
Daneijah Wynn Daneijah Wynn 5'11" | PF Lawrence Central | 2024 IN , 2024, Lawrence North – Daneijah has a powerfully strong and physical frame. She plays with a nice motor, and she’s effective as both a ‘3’ and a ‘4’. She does like to play with contact, and she’ll finish inside, but she also has some face-up skill.
Elizabeth Kirby Elizabeth Kirby 5'8" Seymour | 2025 IN , 2025, Seymour – Elizabeth is another solid to strong type of “tweener” forward. Last Saturday she played some around the perimeter, some in the mid-post, and she scored it at the basket. She has some length and is a solid athlete in most directions.
Team-3:
Devyn Barton Devyn Barton 5'6" | PG Castle | 2023 IN , 2023, Castle – Devyn has shown really nice improvement over the past 12-18 months. Saturday she was strong and physical off the bounce, she got downhill just about anytime she wanted, but she also took care of the ball fairly well.
Kennedy Coleman Kennedy Coleman 6'0" | SF Charlestown | 2024 State IN , 2024, Charlestown – Kennedy really puts in the time, and she has developed a nice perimeter skillset. She is a long and fluid wing with some bounce, she plays with a motor, and she’s starting to score it much more consistently outside.
Shena Fleming Shena Fleming 5'8" | SF La Lumiere Prep | 2024 State IN , 2024, La Lumiere – Shena just has the look of a ballplayer. She has a long, wiry-strong frame, and she is a fluid athlete who moves around almost effortlessly. She looked to drive it more than anything, but she did hit the occasional jumper.
Monique Mitchell Monique Mitchell 5'11" | SF South Bend Washington | 2025 State IN , 2025, South Bend Washington – Monique is going to be a fun one to watch the next four years. She is a talented athlete with length, she plays with an outstanding motor, plus she’s starting to develop a complimentary inside-out game.
Team-4:
Maranda Mason Maranda Mason 5'5" | PG Jeffersonville | 2023 IN , 2023, Jeffersonville – Maranda is a really nice little guard. In the past I’ve seen her act as more of a shooter/scorer, but last Saturday she was very creative off the bounce and used her speed and quickness well to facilitate.
Tatum McFarland Tatum McFarland 5'8" | SG Charlestown | 2023 State IN , 2023, Charlestown – Tatum had a great showing at the Top-250, doing just about whatever she wanted each time she was on the floor when I saw her. She handled it well and created offense, she finished inside, and she made shots outside.
Jordan Patterson Jordan Patterson 5'5" | CG University | 2023 IN , 2023, University – Jordan is a really nice athlete with a wiry-strong frame and great length at her size. She plays with a tremendous motor, and she’s always around the ball. I like her ability to play either guard spot and her efforts defensively.
Aubrie Booker Aubrie Booker 5'8" | CG Center Grove | 2024 State IN , 2024, Center Grove – Aubrie is a really nice, well-balanced athlete with a basketball frame. She can act as a primary ball-handler and create some off the bounce, but I think she’s better as a shooter/scorer because of her ability to absorb contact well.
Kenzie Garner Kenzie Garner 6'1" | SF Sheridan | 2025 State IN , 2025, Sheridan – This kid is all upside, because she’s already a nice ballplayer and she’s likely still growing. She has great length, fluid athleticism, and she has nice touch from around the perimeter. She could become a 6-1 wing in a couple of years.
Jessa Troy Jessa Troy 5'6" | SG Penn | 2025 State IN , 2025, Penn – Jessa is just a ballplayer. She has a solid/strong frame, she’s a capable on-the-floor athlete, but she just knows how to play. She can handle it a little and initiate the offense, but she’s also a consistent shot-maker from outside.
