The top of the class is led by No.2 Lena Giradi (Westminster Academy) in South Florida. The 5-foot-10 forward has already been productive offensively and defensively for the Lions.
How about the South Florida prospects outside the top tier?
Let’s have a look…
Angelina Deleon Angelina Deleon 5'8" | PG Doral Academy | 2025 State FL – Miami Palmer Trinity (PH. 34)
Angelina Deleon Angelina Deleon 5'8" | PG Doral Academy | 2025 State FL keeps getting better with a solid base of athleticism. Moreover, the 5-foot-8 guard has good ball skill and handle. Deleon has been gaining varsity experience the past couple of seasons. Therefore, she should have an advantage from that standpoint. Also, Deleon averaged seven points per game for one of the best teams in the county. Her confidence should be high as she plays this fall.
Adaya Montalvo Adaya Montalvo 5'8" | CG SLAM! (Miami) | 2025 State FL – Miami SLAM! (PH. 44)
Montalvo is part of a young/talented team with the Titans. The 5-foot-8 guard should get a lot of playing time while gaining experience. Montalvo has a good shot and can put the ball on the floor. Miami SLAM! is a team to watch with her in the mix.
Sara Lee Blair Sara Lee Blair 6'5" | C Dillard | 2025 State FL – Dillard (PH. 51)
Sara Lee Blair Sara Lee Blair 6'5" | C Dillard | 2025 State FL is a 6-foot-4 center and she’s a freshman. Whoever is coaching her has that height and four years to work with her. Blair already received playing time as an eight grader with Dillard and might be the tallest player in our state system. The combination of her height and mass around the block is an immediate advantage. Therefore, Blair should be able to collect a high volume of boards on both ends. She also has some footwork for a player of her height. Blair is a prospect to keep an eye on… you can’t miss her!
Riley Stoker Riley Stoker 6'0" | PG Somerset Prep North Lauderdale | 2025 State FL – Western (PH. 124)
Stoker is a big guard for the Lady Wildcats. At around 6-feet tall, she should have plenty of advantage to create her own shot. Stoker can knock down 3-pointers and has good court vision. On defense, she can use her length to block shots from the perimeter. Stoker has a lot of value already and could get better with time.
Savanna Nicholson Savanna Nicholson 5'6" | PG Cardinal Gibbons | 2025 State FL – Cardinal Gibbons (PH. 76)
Nicholson should fit right in for Cardinal Gibbons. The 5-foot-8 guard is a tough defender with active hands. I see her value on defense being important from the get-go. On offense, Nicholson can hit open shots from anywhere on the court. Specifically, watch out for her beyond the 3-point line. Nicholson can score in a hurry and should only get better as she develops a rhythm.
