In our first release of the Class of 2025, yesterday we took a look at the top 7 players and today we look inside the Top 20.
About Our Rankings
Prep Girls Hoops prospect rankings have been compiled by our staff with input from high school, club and college coaches from across the state. Players are ranked on their status as a college prospect. We aim to expand and update our prospects rankings 2-4 times per year to continue to maintain the most comprehensive, accurate prospect rankings in the country.
You can take a look at the Class of 2025 Rankings HERE:
Overall Rank: 8 Positional Rank: 4
Jayshlynn Vega Jayshlynn Vega 5'4" | PG Central Pointe Academy | 2025 State FL (DME Academy / Central Florida Elite) – 5’4 PG
Overall Rank: 9 Positional Rank: 3
Jade Jones Jade Jones 5'11" | SF King's Academy | 2025 State FL (King’s Academy / Miami Suns) – 5’11 Wing
Jones is a young versatile wing that has a good, strong, athletic frame. She is very good in transition and finishing at the rim vs contact and high above defenders. She consistently plays downhill looking to attack the basket at all times. She is a very active player who is a good rebounder and can defend multiple positions. She is a joy to watch because she competes and does not take a possession off!
Overall Rank: 10 Positional Rank: 1
Jayden Terry Jayden Terry 5'8" | CG GHS - Gainesville | 2025 State FL (The Rock School / East Coast United) – 5’8 CG
Overall Rank: 11 Positional Rank: 1
McKenzie Neal McKenzie Neal 6'2" | C Okeechobee HS | 2025 NY (Okeechobee HS / East Coast United) – 6’2 Center
Neal is the # 11 overall ranked player and the # 1 center in the class of 2025. She has a strong, physical build similar to former Palm Beach county and Florida State star Kai James. She is not afraid to use size, strength, and mass down low in the post. She has a large presence in the paint and is a very effective player, once she establishes position down low as she is challenging to move out of the paint and away from the basket. She is very athletic for a player of her size and mass, is an excellent offensive and defensive rebounder, and she has a huge upside.
Overall Rank: 12 Positional Rank: 4
Nyla McFadden Nyla McFadden 5'11" | SF St. Thomas Aquinas | 2025 State FL (St. Thomas Aquinas / GT Queens) – 5’11 Wing
McFadden stands out in a crowd with excellent length, size, and a great build. Her ranking is more on potential than actual production. She is a high-level athlete, with an excellent body, a big time vertical, and plays with a passion and energy that give her a chance to be really special! She has improved tremendously on the offensive end over the last two years, and I think with her work ethic and how hard she plays, she will continue to improve over the next 4 years.
Overall Rank: 13 Positional Rank: 1
Asya Lara Barnes Asya Lara Barnes 6'0" | SF DME Academy | 2025 State FL (Bell Creek Academy / Compound Basketball) – 5’10 PF
Barnes is the # 13 overall ranked player but the # 1 Forward. The 5’10 lefty is a skilled offensive player that can play both the wing and forward position. She is a skilled offensive player, with good shooting form, shoots a high percentage and has a high basketball IQ with good court vision. She does a good job at giving the ball up to the open player and leading them towards the rim for easy baskets. The combination of her skill and height are very intriguing and just entering high school she has a high ceiling and will be a player to watch in the future.
Overall Rank: 14 Positional Rank: 2
Pink Sturdivant Pink Sturdivant 5'8" | CG Clearwater HS | 2025 State FL (Clearwater HS / FGB) – 5’8 CG
Sturdivant is a strong, athletic guard that is confident with the ball in her hands and is very aggressive attacking the basket. She is at her best with the ball in her hands in the open court and penetrating to the basket. Her range caps at 15 feet and she is an average athlete, but as she expands her range and increases her speed, her game will grow tremendously. Look for her to be an impact player at Clearwater High School this season!
Overall Rank: 15 Positional Rank: 3
Chardae Rumph Chardae Rumph 5'7" | CG Blanche Ely | 2025 State FL (Miami Norland HS / Team Knight) – 5’7 CG
Overall Rank: 16 Positional Rank: 5
Maddie O’Berski Maddie O’Berski 5'7" | SF Evangelical Christian School | 2025 State FL (Evangelical Christian School) – 5’7 Wing
O’Berski is a tremendous athlete, who is extremely talented and has a high motor. She plays hard from jump ball to final buzzer and completely fearless. She is consistently the first one to the floor for a loose ball, challenges every shot and has a knack for consistently being around the ball. She has a great basketball IQ, is a fierce competitor, and just absolutely relentless! At 5’7 she is a long, active, high-energy guard who has the chance to be the next big deal in SouthWest Florida.
Overall Rank: 17 Positional Rank: 3
Alessandra Bonilla Alessandra Bonilla 5'7" | SG Monsignor Edward Pace | 2025 State FL (Monsignor Pace HS) – 5’7 SG
Bonilla is a young, skilled guard who is a gifted offensive scorer and plays with a lot of emotion. Her skillset is beyond her years as she has played varsity the last two years as a 7th and 8th grader putting up some impressive numbers. She can handle the ball, has good court vision, and has solid range.
Sam Baustia (SLAM! Academy Miami / Miami Suns) – 5’7 CG
Overall Rank: 18 Positional Rank: 5
Janiah Suprius Janiah Suprius 5'5" | CG Seminole Ridge | 2025 State FL (Seminole Ridge / Wellington Wolves) – 5’6 CG
Overall Rank: 19 Positional Rank: 5
Gianna Robles Gianna Robles 5'3" | PG Doral Academy | 2025 State FL (Doral Academy / Miami Suns) – 5’1 PG
Overall Rank: 20 Positional Rank: 5
Robles had a breakout 2020-21 finishing 3rd on the team in scoring for Doral Academy as an 8th grader and performing well on the EYBL circuit with Miami Suns Team Kiki. Robles is a small guard who has done a great job in developing her offensive skills to be a consistent outside shooter. She has solid handles, does a good job at staying out of danger areas and not turning ball over and is a pesky, hard-nosed player. Her biggest strength is her outside shooting – as she is capable of knocking down 3-4 in a row if left open!
About the Class of 2025 Rankings
This is the first release of the class of 2025. We have looked at players performance and potential with both their High School and Travel teams. If there is a player that not included in the rankings or you feel is not ranked properly, please email us at WholeyPrepHoops@gmail.com and include Name, Height, Position, HS, Travel team, any stats available and any video available. Our goal is to cover the entire state, but we are well aware that we have not seen everyone in the state and those that we have seen, we have not seen all of them equally the same amount of time and games. We have done our best to rank the players based on what we have seen personally. Our next updated ranking will be released in January of 2022.
