Christian Academy of Louisville 86, North Oldham 45- Top Players

The Lady Mustangs of North Oldham traveled to Christian Academy of Louisville to take on the Lady Centurions for both teams respective season opener. In his first season, Head Coach Mac McIntosh has an experienced team as North Oldham returns nearly every player from a squad that went 7-13 in the 2020-21 season. Most notably, the Mustangs return their leading scorer and rebounder from last season in senior [player_tooltip player_id="157946" first="Riley" last="Neal"]. The Miami-Ohio commit averaged 21.6 PPG and 9.2 RPG, and she started off her senior season strong last night. Unlike the Mustangs, the Centurions Head Coach, Cameron Pridemore, returns his leading scorer and rebounder from last season, but also has some new faces, including freshman [player_tooltip player_id="326295" first="Bailee" last="Duck"] who put on a show in her first game at Christian Academy. Here are the top performers from Tuesday night’s game: <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="157946" first="Riley" last="Neal"]</strong> (2022) | 5’11 SF | North Oldham Neal has made herself known as one of the best players in the state, currently ranked #5 in her class, and she certainly showed why in the first game of her senior season. Extremely versatile and will create something when nothing is there. The senior finished the game as the leading scorer with 28 points, but also added multiple rebounds. I would be shocked if Neal does not produce multiple double-doubles in her final high school season. <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="106134" first="Jaya" last="McClure"] </strong>(2022) | 5’6 PG | CAL McClure, who has committed to play at Ohio University next season, also started off her senior season strong, scoring 18 points and grabbing 6 rebounds. The #3 ranked player in the 2022 class led her team to the 86-45 victory. McClure is great at putting herself in a position to score, but even more impressively, she continuously creates scoring opportunities for her teammates. She was a spark for the Centurions on both defense and offense. <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="326295" first="Bailee" last="Duck"] </strong>(2025) | 5’7 SG | CAL The freshman was sensational on offense. Duck scored in a variety of ways and made an impact as soon as she entered the game. She is extremely athletic and showed no fear as she kicked off her high school career with 17 points. <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="231485" first="Savannah" last="Gardner"] </strong>(2024) | 6’0 SF | CAL The Centurions leading rebounder from last season grabbed 13 rebounds in her sophomore debut to go along with 13 points. On top of Gardner’s double-double from points and rebounds, she did a little bit of everything on both ends of the floor, adding multiple steals, assists, and blocks to her stat line for the game. She can move extremely well, makes a ton of hustle plays, and is not at all afraid to be physical. <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="106156" first="Abigail" last="Embry"] </strong>(2022) | 5’10 SG | CAL The senior guard had a solid performance all around. She scored 14 points, but she also had at least 5 rebounds, steals, and assists in her team’s victory. She definitely will be a key player for Christian Academy this season. There was times she passed up good shots herself to put her teammates in a position for an even better shot. <strong>Katelyn Vize </strong>(2023)<strong> &amp; [player_tooltip player_id="206010" first="Kylie" last="Vize"] </strong>(2022) | North Oldham Katelyn Vize, along with her sister, [player_tooltip player_id="206010" first="Kylie" last="Vize"] were all over the place in this game. Their effort on both ends of the floor does not go unnoticed, specifically their rebounding ability. Katelyn Vize pulled down multiple rebounds, but the offensive rebounds were the most impressive. The hustle could not be matched. [player_tooltip player_id="206010" first="Kylie" last="Vize"] also snagged multiple rebounds and really played a big role on the offensive side of things for North Oldham. While she didn’t score a ton of points, she made an impact in other ways on almost every single offensive play for North Oldham. &nbsp;
