Lake Zurich was fan-filled on Dec 7th. The 9 game event had featured top teams and top talent from respective areas. Below are a couple of "under the radar" players that stood out!

Fremd vs. Montini

’23 [player_tooltip player_id="347000" first="Maddy" last="Fay"] | 6’2 Forward | Fremd
Fay is a glass cleaner who can completely have her way in the low post. She shows good strength and balance when making moves in the paint. Her skillset on the offense is just as solid on defense. Maddy is aware of her position on both sides and the position of her teammates when making plays. High IQ and high upside for the junior.
’24 [player_tooltip player_id="349809" first="Riley" last="White"] | 5’6 Guard | Montini
A defensive-minded guard who can cause havoc in the backcourt. White’s ball-hawking skillset allows her to get deflections, steals, and just completely disrupt the defense. Offensively, her style is plug-and-play. She can knock down the open 3, create plays on the drive & kick or finish at the rim. A solid all-around guard who can fit in all types of offense.

Palatine vs. Fenwick

’23 Megan Van Brunt | 5’11 Forward | Palantine
Van Burnt seems to be the defensive anchor of the team. Quick hands, aggressive, and always in the right place to get a steal. Megan on the board is a difference-maker as well, whether it’s offense or defense... she grabs them. A player that plays the game with hustle and effort.
’22 Mia Caccitolo | ’5’7 Guard | Fenwick
A guard who can make plays from every angle and spot on the court. The senior guard shows the stability and the confidence to be a threat on both sides of the ball. She attacks the defense with aggression and can knock down shots from the arc when needed.

St Charles North vs Vernon Hills

’24 [player_tooltip player_id="265963" first="Reagan" last="Sipla"] | 6’1 Wing | St Charles North
Sipla is a versatile wing, who can contribute heavily on both sides of the ball. Defensively her length allows her to make plays on the ball and in the air. She can get clean steals, deflections, and blocks. She can switch the 1-4 with no issue. Offensively, Reagan is a knockdown shooter from all spots around the arc. She can also put the ball on the floor and make plays at the rim or the drive.
’23 [player_tooltip player_id="148152" first="Grace" last="Koepke"] |6’4 Stretch Post | Vernon Hills
The footwork alone is something that sets Grace apart from other players in her class. She can stretch the floor to the mid-range area, or back you down and get to work in the paint. A smooth and feathered touch around the rim as well. A special talent that has tremendous upside and potential.

Barrington vs Carmel

’24 [player_tooltip player_id="265984" first="Molly" last="O’Riordan"] | 6’2 Stretch Post | Barrington
A tough and patient post who can stretch the floor and switch on D when needed. Molly can shoot the mid, finish around the rim and take and make the three. Her contribution on both sides of the ball is noticeable the moment she takes the court. She can create plays from the top to the paint. A mobile big whos looking to take that next step.
’24 [player_tooltip player_id="265975" first="Ashley" last="Schlabowske"] | 5’6 Guard | Carmel
Ashley can make an impact on the ball just much as she can off the ball. Her ball-handling and quickness allows her to leave her defender behind and either finish at the bucket or make plays on the drive. She’s disciplined and reliable. Defensively, she plays with toughness and tons of energy. A true point guard that can excell in any system.
