Northern Cass - 69 Wyndmere/Lidgerwood - 37 <hr /> Northern Cass — Northern Cass has a bunch of prospects to talk about and they have a loaded roster with a combination of upperclassmen and underclassmen. An extremely deep roster that can bring in young size off the bench. They opened up the season with a convincing win against Wyndmere/Lidgerwood, earning a 69-37 victory. She was excellent at pushing the tempo and played with great speed. One of the top 2025 prospects in North Dakota. Finished with 8 points in the game. [player_tooltip player_id="245117" first="Josie" last="Jensen"] - 6’2 C 2024 - Northern Cass - Josie is a long and lanky 6’2 up and coming prospect. She’ll be near the top of the 2024 class just by her lengthy frame alone. [player_tooltip player_id="245014" first="Emma" last="Lucas"] - 6’0 F/C 2022 - Northern Cass - Emma brought down a ton of rebounds in the first game of the season. Great at finding the ball in the air and coming down with it. Finished with 5 points. She's committed to play volleyball at Valley City State. [player_tooltip player_id="219715" first="Ellie" last="Lucas"] - 6’0 F/C 2024 - Northern Cass - Ellie is another long and lanky prospect for the Jaguars. A good athlete with surprising skills with the ball. Able to bring the ball up-court after a rebound. A capable passer with good court vision. She showed some inside moves with a short baby hook for two. Had 4 points in the game. Excellent as a scorer in the lane and midrange area. Can easily slice through the defense and get to her desired spot on the court. She was impressive from the field, with a team leading 19 points. Abby is smooth with the ball and plays with quick pace with it. Can battle inside a little and hit critical open jumpers. Finished with 7 seven points. One of the up and coming guards that has a smooth and skilled game. Solid left-handed guard that has some length to her. [player_tooltip player_id="316319" first="Eleise" last="Sand"] - 5’9 F 2023 - Northern Cass - Eleise is an underrated player for Northern Cass. Possesses solid size, athleticism, and agility. Crashes the glass, coming up with a handful of offensive rebounds and put-backs. She put in a solid 9 points in the game. Wyndmere/Lidgerwood — [player_tooltip player_id="359056" first="Emerson" last="Johnson"] - 5’7 G 2024 - Wyndmere/Lidgerwood - Emerson is a skilled Freshman prospect, that was an evident bright spot for Wyndmere/Lidgerwood. She was able to show off her shot and hit some jumpers, knocking down multiple threes. 13 points on the night. Possesses a solid handle on the ball and is a threat from three. Had the ability to hit fadeaway shots and create her own off the dribble. 7 points from Zoey. [player_tooltip player_id="359054" first="Gracie" last="Kaczynski"] - 5’10 C 2023 - Wyndmere/Lidgerwood - Gracie is a strong interior prospect that battles hard. She’s relentless in attacking the boards and doesn’t shy away from contact whatsoever. 10 points in the game. <hr /> Garrison - 55 Surrey - 43 <hr /> Garrison — Garrison is also another deep squad with a list of prospects to talk about. They don’t have the size and length of Northern Cass but have some solid guard prospects and versatile forwards. Plays point for Garrison, has good size and a great handle on the ball. A three-point threat to give her an all around game and skill-set. She will be moving up the rankings and is a lock for the top 35 in the 2022 class. One of the more skilled guards in the state, that can make plays on her own and shoot off the dribble. [player_tooltip player_id="359445" first="Cara" last="Schlehr"] - 5’9 G/F 2026 - Garrison - Cara is an eighth-grade starter, so she has a bright career ahead of her. Good size and length already at a guard/wing spot. Attempted a deep three in the 1st quarter that was on target and barely missed. Plays passing lanes well with her length, making deflections and steals. Was able to capitalize on a deep three on the right wing in the 2nd quarter. [player_tooltip player_id="211396" first="Karli" last="Klein"] - 5’11 F 2023 - Garrison - Karli is one of those players that produces and plays hard, that should be talked about more when mentioning prospects around the state. An impressive athlete that can run and jump and get down the court in a hurry. Finishes at a high rate going to her right hand -- powers through contact. [player_tooltip player_id="249939" first="Emily" last="Schlehr"] - 5’10 F 2024 - Garrison - Emily is a very effectively player and key piece for Surrey. She can score off a screen and role and can sink a jumper for her team. Hit a corner baseline jumper in the 1st quarter. [player_tooltip player_id="249942" first="Mia" last="Gehring"] - 5’6 G 2023 - Garrison - Mia plays with speed and is a very fluid mover. She was able to knock down a three early in the 1st quarter. Absolutely gets after it on D, playing ferocious on-ball defense with constant pressure. Moves so well horizontally in a lowered stance. Hit a very deep three early on in the second quarter. Ran in transition and led many fast breaks, either dishing off or scoring herself. Surrey — [player_tooltip player_id="245712" first="Mia" last="Aberle"] - 5’7 G 2023 - Surrey - Mia is a solid left-handed guard. Has an accurate jumper and likes the mid-range shot. Accurate from three as well and will take an open one. In this game, she was heavily pressured and didn't have many scoring opportunities. The Garrison defense was suffocating. A skilled ball-handler that can crossover on the move and relieve pressure in many other ways. A three-point threat that is not afraid to fire them up. [player_tooltip player_id="245713" first="Amanda" last="Severson"] - 5’7 G 2023 - Surrey - Amanda is an solid guard that made some plays on both ends. Steals into transition and was able to hit some jumpers.
