Prep Girls Hoops spent the weekend in the Upstate attending some games. On Saturday, we made the trip over to Roebuck to attend the Greer HS vs Dorman HS game. The Greer HS Lady Yellow Jackets had a bit of a surprise for the previously top ranked Lady Cavaliers. The Lady Yellow Jackets trailing 21-20 at halftime spiked out to a 38-29 lead heading into the 4th quarter. The girls from Greer HS were just too much tonight and cruised to a 58-39 win at the Dorman Arena.
<em><strong>SENIORS Leading The Way: #RecruitThePalmettoState </strong></em>
<strong>[player_tooltip player_id="373960" first="Campbell" last="Cox"]</strong> took over the game for the Greer HS Lady Yellow Jackets in the 2nd half. Cox a softball player also was able to get the ball to the rack and finish on her way to scoring 16 points. Campbell provided constant hustle all over the floor picking up rebounds and loose balls and turning them into points.

<strong>[player_tooltip player_id="253845" first="Chamiah" last="Dominck"]</strong> did the best she could do for the Lady Cavaliers. Chamiah a shooting guard finished with 19 points while, connecting on (3) three pointers. Dominck really likes to set up shop out on the perimeter and has a good quick shot release.
<em><strong>Yellow Jackets UNDERCLASSMEN: </strong></em>

<strong>Alex Porter</strong>, <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="253657" first="Amiyah" last="Clark-Lamelle"]</strong>, <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="253656" first="Jalasia" last="Lewis"]</strong> and <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="371890" first="Samora" last="Moody"]</strong> all are UNDERCLASSMEN for the Greer HS Lady Yellow Jackets. Head Coach Demarcio Downs has to be all smiles with the future of his program.
Porter a junior post player was able to finish things around the basket with her soft touch. Alex does a good job of just staying in the paint and carving out space on contact. Porter finished with 10 points tonight.

[player_tooltip player_id="253657" first="<strong>Amiyah" last="Clark-Lamelle</strong>"] and Moody aren’t very big in height at all. This duo constantly brings ball pressure and good awareness to the floor. Amiyah has good feel for the game and fearless mindset just Moody. This tandem was looking to go to the cup and making plays for themselves and their teammates. This duo both scored 8 points tonight.

Lewis was extremely active all night long covering the paint and running the floor. Jalasia was able to manufacture putbacks and effort points. Lewis can really impact a game with her ability to be around the ball and rebounding it on both ends of the floor.

Dorman didn’t have the services of<strong> Renasia Jeter-McKissick</strong> and <strong>Amaria Jones</strong> this evening. Sharp-shooting guard <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="251760" first="Jenna" last="Cothran"]</strong> couldn’t get in rhythm tonight from behind the arc.

Greer HS moves to (8-6) on the season while Dorman HS falls to (11-3).
