She didn’t back down and used her length, strength, and focus to have a great game. She rose her stock as much as anyone from the event. She will be added to the rankings update and she could find herself surprisingly high on the list, as a 6’3 post that is battle-tested and proven against top competition. 14 points
[player_tooltip player_id="94514" first="Libby" last="Trausch"] - 5’8 G 2022 - Adams Central - Libby is a talented lefty guard and she showed her stuff in front of a big crowd. She was chosen as player of the game in Adams Central’s massive win against Bridgeport. She controlled the game and hit shots. Handles the ball very well against pressure and can score on all three levels. We have her ranked #80 in her class, and that’s far too low, as she’s probably a lock for top 40 in the 2022 class. 11 points
[player_tooltip player_id="279066" first="Olivia" last="Loomis-Gotl"] - 5’10 PG 2024 - Bridgeport - Wow, did Olivia come out of the gates with a fast start. She had 9 points before you could blink. Getting in the lane very easily to start the game with jump-stops and euro combinations. She covered ground like no other with her combo moves to get easy lay-ins. The Bridgeport offense worked in a lot of ball-screens for Olivia to give her some room to operate and dictate matchups. Olivia is top 5 in the Nebraska 2024 class at this point. 17 points

[player_tooltip player_id="279065" first="Ruthie" last="Loomis-Gotl"] - 6’3 C 2023 - Bridgeport - Ruthie ran into some foul trouble in her matchup, but that didn’t stop her from contributing in the box score. She ran into some tough breaks and eventually fouled out. She was garnering a ton of defensive attention and she surely had to earn everything. She was being fronted and had to fight bodies off to catch lobs thrown up to her. 16 points
[player_tooltip player_id="374520" first="Syd" last="Guzinski"] - 5’8 G 2023 - Oakland-Craig - Syd started out the game against Sidney by hitting a wing three, to get her team going. A very sound and steady guard, that plays with IQ, and handles and shoots the ball well. There’s not any glaring weaknesses to her game and she is a key asset to Oakland-Craig and how they operate as a team. She’s a smooth basketball player that has all the skills and is threat if not given the defensive attention she deserves. She can go off the dribble and shoot a pull-up jumper if she chooses to do so. Finished with 9 points.
[player_tooltip player_id="374559" first="Adi" last="Rennerfeldt"] - 5’7 G 2025 - Oakland-Craig - Adi is going to be a good guard for Oakland-Craig and she’s already a producer at the varsity level. Some solid length at 5’7 and has good skills and playing speed. Can shoot the ball and hit a smooth-looking corner three in the first half. Has skills to push the ball up-court via dribble.
[player_tooltip player_id="298513" first="Sadie" last="Nelson"] - 5’9 G 2023 - Oakland-Craig - Sadie is a skilled guard with size and length at 5’9. Sadie struggled from three in the first half but was still a playmaker on both ends - rebounding defensively, and offensively getting in the lane and scoring. Great at pushing the ball in transition, and is dangerous in transition, both dishing and scoring. 17 points in the game.
[player_tooltip player_id="298511" first="Chaney" last="Nelson"] - 5’8 G 2023 - Oakland-Craig - Chaney routinely got to the hoop driving baseline and finishing, with a quick first-step. She has a nice euro game to her and is great at avoiding the defense and defensive help. She was tough to contain off the dribble for Sidney and this was a key advantage to the game and determinant of the outcome. Chaney was chosen as player of the game with 16 points.
[player_tooltip player_id="374574" first="Gretchen" last="Seagren"] - 5’11 G/F 2025 - Oakland-Craig - Gretchen is a long Freshman wing prospect. Has some athletic ability to her and uses it, along with her length, to make deflections and steals. Has skills and length to be a very good prospect in the state. Gretchen was very calm against pressure with the ball and a decision.
[player_tooltip player_id="279061" first="Alecca" last="Campbell"] - 5’9 G 2022 - Sidney - Alecca stood out for Sidney from a length and physical standpoint, with 5’11 being the teams tallest player. Good size for a guard/wing and adequate skills with the ball to be a playmaker.
[player_tooltip player_id="279032" first="Brynna" last="Ross"] - 5’2 G 2022 - Sidney - Brynna is not just a role-playing guard. She's a legitimate threat shooting the ball. Great quickness and conditioning, and always on the move. Extremely quick defensive feet and slide.
[player_tooltip player_id="279034" first="Rheagan" last="Stanley"] - 5’2 PG 2023 - Sidney - Rheagan handles the ball for Sidney and she plays with great quickness and change of pace. She can accelerate in a hurry and handles the ball well enough to use her speed. She’s an Energizer bunny of a point guard that plays fast 100% of the time. 10 points
[player_tooltip player_id="374588" first="Reese" last="Riddle"] - 5’7 G/F 2023 - Sidney - Reese is a little bit of a tweener, but she plays smart and gets the job done for her team, as a distributor and finisher. She can play inside and outside and has a strong frame that she uses well. Had an And-1 finish in the first half. She may be Sidney’s greatest asset from a toughness and winning games standpoint. Battles on all fronts and plays with physicality. Drew contact inside on a few occasions.
[player_tooltip player_id="315783" first="Kayla" last="Westby"] - 5’6 G 2025 - Sidney - This was my first time seeing Kayla compete at the varsity level. Kayla is a bench contributor but she may be the best prospect on the Sidney squad, being only a Freshman. Made a play defensively that led to a transition layup at the end of the game.
[player_tooltip player_id="374635" first="Katie" last="Ramsey"] - 5’8 G/F 2024 - Sidney - Katie is an interesting prospect. She has the size and feel of a wing/PF but she handle the ball, shoot the ball, and about everything else. Most likely underrated. A very efficient and high IQ player. Seems to make the smart pass. She missed the shot but made a surprising euro move late in the game. She was starting to get tough to contain as the game went late. 8 points
