She can handle the ball and shoot at all levels of the court. Hogans also excels in the transition game. [player_tooltip player_id="349274" first="Ella" last="Stakem"] 2024, 5’6″ (Bolles) played very well last week, scoring 9, 15, and 17 in the three contests last week. Stakem was impressive from behind the arc, but also did a good job of handling the ball for the Lady Bulldogs. Stakem shot the ball extremely well from behind the arc, connecting on 3 three-pointers against Mandarin and another 5 against Menendez. Stakem was impressive running the point for the Blady Bulldogs and also getting to the paint for some nice baseline floaters and mid-range shots. [player_tooltip player_id="331745" first="Eris" last="Lester"] 2024, 5’10” G (Orange Park) had her usual week at the office with a 17 point – 16 rebound performance against Oakleaf and then followed that up with a 30 point performance against Ribault. Eris has been consistent for two years and it's gotten to the point that more attention is raised when she doesn't put up 20 points. [player_tooltip player_id="91651" first="Taliah" last="Scott"] 2023, 5’9″ G (St Johns Country Day) What Scott was doing on the courts against San Jose Prep (on her way to 41 points) was just downright unfair. If there is any consolation to last week's opponents, it's that Scott has been doing it all year long. What popped out during her weekend performance at the University of North Florida was Scott's toughness. She took charges, dove on the floor for loose balls, and got knocked down throughout the game. Scott's physical frame was impressive. She looked strong on the court and her game was even stronger as Scott put up 30 against Gainesville Bucholz, 50 against Ridgeview, and 41 against a very talented San Joe Prep team. Scott has gotten so good on the court that you can't tell if she is right-handed or left-handed. She handles the ball with either hand and can drive to the goal from either side. Her opponents played multiple defenses against her, but it didn't matter. Scott seemed to relish the challenge and she continued to rise to the occasion during every possession. [player_tooltip player_id="248572" first="Kennedy" last="Williams"] 2022, 5’6″ G (Fleming Island). The senior point guard had 4 consecutive games last week that were impressive, scoring 13, 16, 13, and 21 and helping her team win 3 of the 4 contests. The talented guard was very aggressive, launching 28 threes during this period and connecting on 10 of them. [player_tooltip player_id="91582" first="Nia" last="Brown"] 2022, 6’0″ F (Orange Park) was special last week. It was a great dual against [player_tooltip player_id="91660" first="Fantasia" last="James"] of Oakleaf. Brown more than held her own, scoring 18 points against James and her Oakleaf teammates. Brown followed that performance with a double-double (11 points and 12 rebounds) against Ribault. During week 9, Brown had the full arsenal on display. She was pulling up in the paint, driving to the goal, and also connecting on three-pointers. Brown also helped the guards handle the ball and erased their mistakes when the opposing guards drove to the basket. Allison Fifield 2022, 5’11" F (Nease) was player of the game in the matchup against Gateway champion Andrew Jackson. Fifield brought her A-game, scoring 20 points, shooting over 54 percent from the field, and connecting on 3 three-pointers. Fifield is the player who does all of the little things and does whatever it takes to win. Against Jackson, Fifield took the scoring route to make contributions. She has been solid on the glass, with the handles, and with her defensive efforts throughout this season.
