Noteworthy Central Florida Players
As we continue to go through the 2021/2022 High School girls’ basketball season. We continue to see players have outstanding, noteworthy performances that deserve to be highlighted. Here are a few players that have met that standard over the last few weeks.

Bullock an Aurora College (Aurora Illinois) commit. Has been playing lights out. She is leading the team in points per game with 19.8 and leading the team in rebounding with 7.4. A four-year starter for the Falcons, she is a stretch four that is shooting a nice 48 percent (50/104) from three-point land. Recently in a two game stretch she had 36 points, 9 rebounds and 2 assists versus Edgewater, then 30 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists versus Melbourne High School.
<strong>Marceline Clermont</strong> 2024 5’7” Bishop Moore
She is a super quick guard for the Hornets, gets up the floor in transition very quickly. A tough defender that comes off the bench for Bishop Moore. Usually, must guard the opponent’s top defender and clamps them down. She is leading the team with 2.6 steals per game. With two years left in her High School career, I look forward to continued development, especially if she can develop a consistent outside jump shot.

The Senior Point Guard for Ocoee is having a great season. She is scoring 12.8 points per game and dishing out 1.4 assists per game. Sistrunk is the go-to player for the Knights, as scorer for them. She scored 16 points versus Horizon. Able to stop on a dime and hit the pull up jumper, usually from the mid-range area.

Lugo-Perez, a two-sport athlete at East River, is another 2024 in the super loaded Orlando area sophomore class. A tough lefty that controls the floor for the Falcons and displays an on the court awareness that is impressive for such a young player. A two-year starting point guard for East River High school, she is scoring 11.1 points per game, grabbing 4.5 rebounds per game, and passing 3.5 assists per game.
<strong>Soraya Jokhan</strong> 2025 5’6” PG Winter Springs
Jokhan, a freshman Point guard for the Bears, is displaying why she is a starter. She is leading scorer for Winter Springs, putting in 10.7 points per game and dishing out 2.4 assists per game. A crafty young guard that gets to the basket with a wide variety of attack moves. Recently versus University she scored 7 points and grabbed 4 rebounds and before that she had 9 points and 5 rebounds versus Lake Brantley.

She is a super feisty, tough, gritty in your face defender that applies relentless pressure. She is the Point guard for Colonial, controlling the floor while setting up her teammates for open shots. Barreiro has been the starting point guard for the Grenadiers since she got there as a freshman. She is leading the team with 3 assists per game. She is scoring 6.9 points per game. Look forward to seeing a really good senior campaign for her.
