As the season is ending for a lot of teams, some players have played their last high school games and we would like to acknowledge some seniors that have had good seasons. Some of these players are still in the playoff as the publication of this article, but you know we are now in the "lose you go home" part of the season.

[player_tooltip player_id="320520" first="Amiya" last="Sillmon"] | 6-2 P | Talladega Central County. Niya standing at 6-2 is a force to be reckoned with in the paint. She has great hands, is a great rebounder, and will put her opponent on her hip and score. Amiya is also a softball player for her school and it shows when she gets the rebound and gets it down the court with a TD-like pass. She was also chosen as her area MVP in the area tournament.
[player_tooltip player_id="320495" first="Madison" last="Dowling"] | 5-10 SF | Gulf Shores. Madison is an active forward, she can put the ball on the floor and make things happen and can also shoot the three if necessary. She is a force near the basket, commands all rebounds, and is a good efficient scorer through those offensive rebounds. She was her team’s leading scorer in their sweet sixteen game of the AHSAA playoffs.
[player_tooltip player_id="368773" first="D’Yona" last="Jones"] | 6-2 SF | Hewitt-Trussville. This is one of the most efficient post players in this class. D’Yona can shoot, rebound and block shots. In most games she has had double-doubles, in their sweet sixteen game in the Northeast Region of the AHSAA state playoffs, D’Yona had five blocks. She is also a scholar off the court.
[player_tooltip player_id="354112" first="Mary" last="Cartee"] | 5-10 CG | Chelsea. This is the energy for this team, Mary is a University of South Carolina Aiken signee who plays with energy from the tip to the final horn. She can shoot the pull-up, will drive to the basket knowing she will get that contract, and then go to the line and make those free throws. In her last high school game against Oxford in the Elite 8, Mary had 16 points and 9 rebounds.
[player_tooltip player_id="320525" first="Neely" last="Welsh"] | 5-10 SF | Spring Garden. A five-year member on the Spring Garden varsity squad, Neely along with her sidekick Number One player in the Class of 2025, [player_tooltip player_id="323415" first="Ace" last="Austin"] are a duo that is hard to defend. Neely can shoot whether it's long or short-range, getting to the basket, or making her free throws; it's evident by her surpassing her 2,000 points in February of this year. She has a very high basketball IQ and sees the floor very well.
[player_tooltip player_id="329940" first="Maya" last="Cable"] | 5-8 SG | Sparkman. Maya has been that one steady player on that Sparkman squad. She started the season as an under-the-radar player, but as the season progressed she was being noticed on most opponent’s scouting reports. She is a shooter, a good defender, and just that solid player. Maya is going to make a good solid player on the next level.
