Granville vs Kettering Alter, Tuesday 6:00
The Young Guns- After a couple of down years, Alter has made it back to the regionals and they are doing it with a mix of steady seniors and fast-rising underclassmen. [player_tooltip player_id="217360" first="Riley" last="Smith"] (feature photo above) is a 6-3 sophomore who has a great perimeter game and is a mismatch issue with her size on the perimeter. Riley is ranked #9 in the latest PGH update (15 ppg) with the next one coming in a couple of weeks. [player_tooltip player_id="319298" first="Madison" last="Moody"] is only a 2025 (11.8 ppg) but she is very skilled, and at 6-1 she does a very good job in the paint. She possessed good footwork and can play physical. She was ranked #7 in the early 2025 OGH rankings in December. Also [player_tooltip player_id="366785" first="Elena" last="Thompson"] is emerging as a key player and prospect as the 6-foot 2024 continues to grow her game.

Also 5-11 2023 [player_tooltip player_id="160415" first="Ella" last="Wigal"] (#17 2023) (pictured left) will attend Liberty, and both are the key components in their run to regionals.
Steady vets- Alter has a pair of seniors who have been a big part in the quick turnaround of the Knights success. 2022 standouts [player_tooltip player_id="269818" first="Karlie" last="Romer"] (5-10) and [player_tooltip player_id="269820" first="Caraline" last="Kernan"] (5-8) are both experienced players with a good skillset. They can create on both sides of the ball and one of the biggest things is their ability to control the game. You can’t beat experience and these two have it.
Eaton vs Hamilton Badin, Tuesday 8:00
Cinderella story- At one point of the season, Eaton was 6-11 and then 9-13 when the postseason begun. Since then, every game they won in the postseason was against a team seeded higher than them. They have but it all together and made the trip to the D2 elite eight in Ohio. Everything is going their way right now, hitting the big shots and making key stops.
Balalnced attack- Eaton has no megastars, no McDonald’s All-Americans, but they have a group of ladies peaking at the right time. Olivia Baumann is their top player, as the 6-foot 2024 is nearly averaging a double-double. She is a very solid rebounder and uses her size well to control the boards. Lily Shepherd is a 5-9 2024 and is known for her perimeter. game, as she moves well and can create shots. The glue that makes them go is 2022 Allison Mowen, an uncommitted point guard with excellent court sense, handles and the ability to find the best shot.

She is a complete player and will be a tough player to contain within their offense. Another key contributor is 5-7 2022 [player_tooltip player_id="312664" first="Mahya" last="Lindesmith"] (pictured left) who I loved her game last year and she has continued to be a big factor in their success. She is a big perimeter threat, can put the ball on the floor and move well.
