Glen Burnie Stops Old Mill- Top Performers

The Glen Burnie Gophers and Old Mill Patriots have been the top two teams in Anne Arundel County all season and they clashed on a Friday night in front of a capacity crowd at Old Mill. The two teams started out slowly and the first quarter ended with Glen Burnie leading 6 to 5. The Gophers used a 3-2 zone to stifle Old Mill’s offense in the second quarter and they extended their lead to 28-18 at the half. Ol Old Mill went on a strong run to start the third quarter and halfway through they had trimmed Glen Burnie’s lead down to 30-28. The teams traded runs for the rest of the game, taking turns pressing each other and forcing turnovers. She scored 10 points and really sparked her team in the second half. She gave the team some quality minutes at point guard and also battled inside for rebounds. She has deceptive speed and is a very versatile player.
