Maya finished with a game high 25 points. She was all over the court from the opening tip doing a little bit of everytiing for her to win. Maya is one of the top unsigned seniors in the area. She is a capable lead guard but can also play off the ball because of her scoring ablilty. College coaches in need of a guard that can contribute right away should take note.
<strong>Genique Gaither, Friends, 2023, Guard</strong>
Genique had an outstanding game with 16 points. She attacked the glass, played solid defense and set her teammates up with some nice passes. She brought energy and toughness from the jump ball.
<strong>Louise Mickle, Friends, 2025, Guard </strong>
Louise scored 7 points but her real contributions came on defense. She consistently hounded ball handlers for the length of the court and came away with several steals and deflections. She has perfected the skill of chasing down players on a fast break and disrupting their timing without fouling.
<strong>Rayah Howell, Garrison Forest, 2024, Guard</strong>
<p style="padding-left: 80px;"><img class="alignnone size-thumbnail wp-image-390729" src="https://prephoops-uploads.s3.amazonaws.com/pgh/uploads/2022/02/20220221_131636-150x150.jpg" alt="" width="150" height="150" /></p>
Rayah is a versatile guard with great length and athleticism. She brought intensity and competed hard throughout the game. She poured in 15 points to lead her team but was saddled with first half foul trouble. She did a lot of good things; she rebounded, defended and had a nice coast to coast drive in the second half. Looking forward to seeing her over the summer.
<strong>Catherine Streator, Garrison Forest, 2024, Guard </strong>
Catherine came up big in the second half with 8 of her 10 points. She has a nice touch around the basket and can knock down shots on the perimeter out to about 15 feet.
