Confident at all scoring levels. From outside to the mid she shoots the ball effortlessly. Off the dribble and through constant movement, Barakat’s shooting ability is top-notch. Attacking the paint… her creativity and IQ give her the advantage most of the time. She can either finish or make a play for someone else. Laila’s speed and effort are seen on the defensive side as well. An athletic and complete player that will provide an immediate impact on a program. She is nowhere near her peak.
“24 Lexi Sepulveda Lexi Sepulveda 5'10" | CG Plainfield East | 2024 State IL | 5’10 Wing | Plainfield East
Sepulveda’s skill set is smooth and simple but highly effective. She can take her defender off the dribble with a quick 1-3 move combination and finish through, around, or over the top of traffic.. with either hand. Her floater is high arched with a feathery touch, and she shows creativity around the rim as well. From the mid to the arc she can put the ball in the basket. Lexi has great IQ and it shows in her playmaking ability. She makes pinpoint passes and consistently leads her teammates to easier buckets. Lexi possesses a ton of potential.
’23 Alyssa Hughes Alyssa Hughes 5'7" | CG St. Charles North | 2023 State IL | 5’7 Combo Guard | Saint Charles North
High IQ, top-tier ball-handling skills, and a sniper from the arc. Hughes is the true meaning of a combo guard. She’s just as much of a problem with the ball as she is without. She can get to the bucket whenever and however… no matter the traffic. She’s creative and deceptive when finishing around the rim. Her footwork is one of the main reasons her skillset is such a threat. From the outside, Alyssa is automatic, she can pull it from deep, or right at the line. She has great vision and is always scanning the floor to get the best angle for a bucket or an assist.
’22 Eleanor Monyek Eleanor Monyek 6'0" | SF Hinsdale Central | 2022 State IL | 6’0 Wing | Hinsdale Central
A highly skilled wing that can score in a multitude of ways. Monyek has the length and versatility to be a threat from all angles and aspects of the game. In the midrange area, she shows the confidence to shoot and or make plays for her teammates. At the arc, she will take and make the three-ball at a high clip. Eleanor will put the ball on the floor and get to the paint with a couple of moves and finesse her way through traffic or use her length to finish over the top. She can fit in any type of system, due to her high IQ and her frame. The length she has is such a compliment to her skillset both offensively and defensively. Great rebounder and a defensive blanket in the paint while being tough to get by on the perimeter.
’23 Alex Stewart | 5’7 Guard | Yorkville
A quick and effective first step. The junior guard can beat her defender off the dribble, the triple threat, or simply knock down the longball in your face. She’s tough-minded and creative when driving to the basket and can finish at the rim no matter whose there. In the mid, she has a quick pull-up jumper, and an array of moves to go with it. A pure three-level scorer. Defensively… her length is a disruption for the entire offense, she uses high hands and makes herself big to throw off the perimeter players
’22 Summer Reid | 5’6 Guard | Schaumburg Christian
Reid has tremendous efficiency from the arc. The lefty can get her shot off in a multitude of ways. Catch and shoot, off the dribble, and her constant moving. She has a smooth and quick release that allows her to shoot with range. Multiple 30 point plus games with a high number of threes made. Summer also has the body frame to rebound at a high clip and cause disruptions on the defensive side of the ball.
’22 Taylor Major | 5’10 Combo Guard | Round Lake
A solidly built guard who can beat her defender at all 3 levels. When she’s attacking the paint, she can go through or around the defense, or penetrate and create another shot for someone else. Her mid-range game is on that scale too, she can stop and pop or find a better opportunity. The three-ball is comfortable for Major as well. She can knock them down with or without the defense there. A solid combo guard for any program.
’25 Kiyocko Proctor | 5’5 Guard | Alton
The ball handling Proctor has is elusive and clean, but very much controlled. She’s a shifty guard who can get to where she needs but uses those moves to create for those around her. She has a great feel and vision for the game. She can attack the basket and finish, or pick her spot and knock down the long ball. With all those skills… Proctor loves to create and be the focal point of setting her teammates up. A pure point at heart, but can score when the time is needed. Kiyoko has tremendous upside.
