With our latest rankings update for 2024, we had a lot of movement throughout the class and are up to 90 ranked players in the Sophomore class. Here’s a look at the top 5 players in this update.
Trinity Rowe Trinity Rowe 5'7" | PG Pikeville | 2024 State KY , Pikeville – Rowe remains on top of the 24 class with another stellar season for Pikeville. They’re still going at Rupp this week in large part thanks to Trinity and her ability to create so much offense for her team. An elite shooter, the point guard is hard to guard because she can get past a crowding defender with her quick first step or she can knock down 3s at nearly 50% from deep if you back off her.
Ramiya White Ramiya White 6'4" | C Butler | 2024 State KY , Butler – Ramiya stays at the second spot in the rankings and her potential is still highest in the class thanks to her size and ability. White is a matchup problem for every team on the Butler schedule and her best basketball is ahead of her. The Bearettes had a rebuilding season this year but if Ramiya can take the next step in her development, they won’t be rebuilding for long.
Audrey Biggs Audrey Biggs 6'0" | SF Boyd County | 2024 State KY , Boyd County – Audrey is a true three level scorer and has shown she may be the best player in the state at drawing fouls and getting to the free throw line. Biggs has helped get Boyd to Rupp Arena this year and they’re set up for success for the next few seasons. Audrey is the latest in a long line of tough guards at Boyd and she is primed to be one of the best players in the 16th region over the next couple of seasons.
Shaelyn Steele Shaelyn Steele 5'5" | PG Russell | 2024 State KY , Russell – Shaelyn will be right there in the mix with Boyd for best player in the 16th region for the rest of their careers. Steele is a well rounded guard who checks every box you look for when looking for a point guard as she is strong and athletic and a big time scorer. She can score at all 3 levels and will likely draw high major coaches to her AAU games this summer. She could eventually be the top player in this class.
Reagan Bender Reagan Bender 5'9" | SF Sacred Heart | 2024 State KY , Sacred Heart – Bender is another player who can do it all and is a true two-way player for Sacred Heart. Reagan is a large part of the loaded roster at SHA and can sometimes be overshadowed by Z Johnson but is a tremendous prospect in her own right. The Valkyries enter Rupp Arena this week as the favorites to win it all and the versatility of players like Reagan is a large part of why they’re viewed that way.
